I like Alice in Chains, Courtney Love, Twiggy Ramirez, and Kat Bjelland.
I also like late 70's to early 90's punk culture. In addition, I enjoy learning facts about contemporary serial killers.

Music Comments:

Hole: My favorite album is Pretty on the Inside. That is the sound of Hole that I most appreciate. Live Through This is great and much more commercialized, but still not as radio-friendly as Celebrity Skin. Celebrity Skin was the last Hole lineup that I respected, and in my personal opinion is the end of their discography. I really appreciate the aesthetic of Live Through This, but Pretty on the Inside has a beautiful raw and abrasive sound that is so compelling.

Babes in Toyland: I appreciate songs mostly off of Fontanelle and To Mother, but my favorites are Ripe and Catatonic. Kat Bjelland is my number one inspiration in life. I love their aesthetic and would really like to see a BiT show, even if Maureen isn't there.

Alice in Chains: My favorite album is Alice in Chains because my favorite song is Sludge Factory. Second favorite is Dirt. Thematically I prefer songs written by Layne, but I have so much respect for Jerry's songwriting and musical talent. I love everyone in this band. Sean is hilarious yet insightful, and Mike was an exceptional bassist. I really enjoyed the personality he showed in interviews. Mike Inez is such a warm person and I am glad he played/is playing with them/ I personally only appreciate the albums before the 2000's, but I highly respect Jerry/Sean/Mike/William's vision.

MM: My favorite album is Portrait of an American Family. I am not a huge fan of this band after that album, but I really appreciate Twiggy Ramirez and highly admire his musical talent. I've watched the Riki Rachtman interview so many times just for Twiggy. I am a huge fan of his.

Nirvana: My favorite songs are Silver, Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge on Seattle, You Know You're Right, and Something in the Way. I have a big appreciation for Krist Novoselic as a person.

Minor Threat: Ian shifting to Fugazi after Minor Threat showed his range, and I enjoy that. My favorite songs are Seeing Red and Filler. Their straight edge ethos was interesting.

Sonic Youth: I love their involvement in the 80's and 90's punk scene and their generosity toward other musicians. My favorite song is Bull in the Heather. Kim Gordon is inspirational.

Bauhaus: I really appreciate the sound of Double Dare and Dark Entries since they are so raw. Though All We Ever Wanted Was Everything is haunting in a less abrasive way. Nerves is one of my other favorites as a bit of organized chaos.
