Hello! I need your help with something if you please =D (Big Grin) what's the fastest way of doing dark solid areas without over working the skin of the client?

Depending on the size of the area I'm filling in, I use as big of a needle grouping as I feel comfortable with to shade. Like a 9mg. Make little circular motions and slowly progress through the area. When you are filling in solid, especially black, it can be difficult to get it perfectly solid in just one sitting. You might have to go back over it after it heals. And even if you do get it solid in one sitting, sometimes ink is lost during the healing process and you will need to touch up the area.

I haven't used much of that brand, but it should work the same way as the stuff I use. You can try mixing an ink cup with 50% distilled water and 50% of the ink pigment. That should give you a nice medium greywash. Or if you would rather not mess with mixing it in the cap, you can dip your machine in the black, then immediately dip it in your water cup and there is your greywash. That way is just not as exact as having them already mixed in your caps.

I use several different brands of ink. I really like the M.O.M.'s ink (Millenium) for colors, although sometimes they can be a little thick. I also like Starbrite for colors as well! For greywashes, I like Silverback. And I just switched black inks and I really like it but I'm spacing the brand. I will write it down next time I'm at work for ya!

thanks a million! i was thinking of getting starbrite for colors and i've been thinking a lot about M.O.M but wasn't sure! i couldn't find silverback anywhere on amazon "shipping is cheaper to me this way i want to put more money into suppplies" but i've been reading amazing recommendations on silverback! next time then :D (Big Grin) thanks for the advises!!!
