I am "trying" to make adopts that appeal to everyone. I know some variations have been done before but I am hoping that some are different than what people are used to. I can't do digital to save my life but I am trying and we'll see how this goes.

Well, I don't have fancy programs and can't make them look like everyone else's in terms of fancy software ya'll use.
These are not random and I will link you when done but maybe one day I'll get random designs in my head. lol

Well, I mean the one I use is MediBang Paint Pro, which is completely free, so I'm also not that fancyxD

It's a great program that also works for mobile and stuff so if case you'd like to check it out:

That is correct as far as I know (though laws can be very different in different countries) However, as far as I know, I can also not sell to them so if people do not obligue by the few rules I have and really blatantly ignore them (a few mistakes can happen but not all the time)

that is the consequence I can, and will draw I can't really do much about the adopts they already own, that is true but I can prevent them from buying more of mine.

It also makes me happy to hear that you like my adopts

If you want to make a koi base, you can make one but I cannot guarantee I will use it because I have lots of other bases I plan to use

making those rules is not illegal, just the same as refusing to sell to someone, which I may do if I feel like it, honestly^^

Making a legal contract (as described in the video, which I assume is made by an US citizen so it only fully applies in the US) would require ever single person that ever buys an adopt to sign a contract with their name and username (which I cannot prove to be correct so they could just sign it with a fake name and then have the adopt without any rules attached to it anyways), now I have sold over 2000 adoptables in my years, and I do not deem it possible to make such a contract with everyone and especially make it legally binding since they can just use a wrong name.

And even if I could make that contract, get every single person to sign it and keep it forever, copyright laws for Intellectual property vary from country to country, so even then the contract may be binding to some and just a piece of paper with no meaning to others.

So thanks for informing me but as far as I am informed, there is no way to make this possibly work on a platform like this where every adopt costs less than a dollar, the time I'd spend setting up contracts would exceed any time I spend on making the adopt. (Which I already make at a lot less than minimum wage, that's also why I do not want people to sell my adopts for higher price: I want them to be affordable for everyone. I can force no one to obligue by my rules for adopts I have already sold, that is true but I can not sell more adopts to them because they are my IP and until I sell them, I have all rights to them and can decide who I sell them to

Don't worry, I understand your goals but I don't think they are actually doable for a single person that is not a big company with lots of lawyers and assistants^^

I also do not want to get into legal trouble either so I will educate myself further on the subject but so far I do not believe I am doing anything illegal by putting up rules. I am also not sure how much of a reliable source this video is since the person talking keeps says "in my opinion" and "I think so" which does not really sound valid when it's about legal right and such. I don't think anyone would try to sue me about something that costs less than a dollar because the fees of the lawyer and such would be way too high for them to profit off it, but yes, I will try and find out more about this topic and possibly change my rules accordingly.
