You waved your hand in front of your face. It was no use. You couldn’t even see its silhouette.
A crashing sound echoed throughout the empty air. You whipped around.

“H-hello?” you called out. Or at least...you tried to. You clutched at your throat, trying desperately to make a sound, but there was nothing.
‘Help me...help me, please…’
You couldn’t see nor hear nor breathe. It was as if all your senses had been stolen away. All your bodily functions had stopped. You gasped, trying to grasp through the blackness for something you couldn’t reach.
“Hey—”
‘I can hear it.’
You lifted your head, straining to hear the voice again.

Carnal KnowledgeI wore the same black tank top every time.
It stretched. It was comfortable and revealing. It curved against my body and my chest. They all loved it when I wore the same black tank top. Every time.
The first tryst with him I wore it. We met in hyperspace. He was mellow and relaxed. I was sexual and tempting. He would ask for more than I wanted to show, but never forced it. And what he showed me was enough to make me go.
But he wasn't the first.
He lived alone and was self-sustaining. It was the middle of the night and I was desperate for a distraction. So was he. He did not believe it, but he was beautiful.
He was broken in all the same places. Instead of fixing them we connected our broken parts. We talked about our last loves and how they left us half of ourselves. He still loved her and I still loved him. So we touched.
