Maybe I'm jumping the gun here, and I know it's not my place, but the way you said that gave me a feeling like maybe you don't actually dislike drawing. 

I remember once when I realized my passions weren't enjoyable anymore. It was devastating. I had a hard time believing I was any good at drawing or programming or cooking, or that I had a future in them. I had to take myself out of the mindset of "doing it because I have to". I was treating my hobbies like a job. I had gotten sick of my lack of improvement in my art and cooking, as nothing had changed for many years. 
I had to think about why I took them on as hobbies in the first place. I had to think hard about the feelings I got from doing my hobbies over the years. 
Sometimes we get stuck in a rut, sometimes we have off periods. But the important question to ask is: Do you really not like drawing anymore? Do you feel happy when you say "I've given up"? 

I'm sorry. I don't know why you've decided to stop. Maybe a fandom had a tantrum over your fanart, maybe it was just one person, maybe it's something at home. Maybe you think, like I did, that there's no future in it. Well, I can scratch that last one off your list for you. You definitely have a future in art. I found more of your work by searching your username on Google, and your style is the kind I've idolized for years. I love the bright colors, and the shapes. It's the kind of art I can picture being hung up on bedroom walls as posters, or being used for con badges, or an animated series. Your dadsona is especially absolutely adorable, I love absolutely everything about his design.

There's nothing wrong with taking a break. But you shouldn't "give up" on something that you're passionate about, even if you are going through a period of exhaustion. Believe it or not, it happens to the best of people. That's why the hiatus was invented, hahaha!

Again, sorry. I got a little carried away and preachy there, I probably read too deeply into what you said. You're welcome to brush me off, if you want. In the end, it's your choice whether or not you continue drawing, and it's not my business to ask why either way (heck you can hide this comment if you want to)... but I do think at the very least you should leave your stuff up so people can continue to enjoy what you've created and be inspired. You can shove them all into a single "old crap" folder so it doesn't disrupt whatever you plan to move on to in the near future (be it photography, literature, etc.)...

Either way, I'm going to stick around to see what you share in the future, and I hope you find your passion again. ♥♥♥♥

Ah, hello!!  Sorry I didn't see this until now, I don't actually go on here much anymore and just came across this on accident haha.
I really appreciate you spending the time to write all this, and I guess I'll put my stuff back up if people are interested in seeing it, I just don't want people to be disappointed after discovering my art that I'm no longer active ;;

For a response though, my main troubles are all just coming from myself, I just no longer enjoy the process of drawing.  It always ends up getting me real upset and annoyed and it's just overall very unpleasant now so I just feel like it'd be best if I just quit.  I didn't want to, I used to think I'd always continue doing art no matter what but these feelings about it just kept getting worse over the last two years and now it's just at the point where I can't force myself to do it without feeling really miserable.  I'll still doodle sometimes, but nothing I'd ever post or anything, and I still don't really enjoy it, I just have to do it in order to get my ideas and creative energy out every once in awhile ;; (I just posted a journal that went into some other details of it as well if you're interested)

I do actually have a new account that I use, but I don't post art, it's just adoptables to help fund my new hobby which has been working out much much better for me, and has really helped me recover from some really rough times.  If you're interested, I can note you, (or you can note me) but I just don't want to have everything open to the public that my new account is me if this makes sense?  I wanted to start again and make a new name and reputation for myself that I didn't have to carry the baggage and memories of this account with, and it's really made me feel a lot better using the site ^^

I'd love to follow your new account, and I'm so happy you put everything back up. Maybe in the future, you'll share a bit of whatever your new hobby is? It's so exciting that you found something that makes you happy!

Curious, though, and I hope this isn't a bothersome question: If you're not going to draw anymore, are you still going to use your characters for something, like writing or something?

Ah yes!  However I may not be able to accept for sure, I've been struggling with time lately so I wouldn't want to accept anything that could end up taking me awhile to finish aaa, (I hate making customers wait for things they've already paid for ;0;.) feel free to send me a link to the character tho and if I think it'll work out I'll let you know! ^^

Aaaa pretty good!!  I've been a little stressed but besides that I've still been happy so things have been going pretty well!!  
Trying to get back on a better art schedule, I've been falling behind a bit, but hopefully I'll turn things around again soon ^^
