Two OCs planned, which the second one doesn't show up until later though hinted in the very first chapter.
The "third" OCs is a original race of monsters I made up for my own original series and add a different kind of threat and tension to both sides in their own way.
So, yes, they are OCs. But not many as I don't want to overload my fanfic that much with OCs.

Oh it's alright, though I am interest to see how you plan the re-write of it. I wouldn't mind if you kept the original written chapter for me to re-read anytime I want. Another tip is to read well-written novels and other stories and see how writers format their stories and write out the characters and their dialogue. Always good to draw inspiration from others.

Oh... currently he's just met them but if I had to say it's mostly a tie between Pinkie Pie and Applejack at the moment. Pinkie Pie's energetic personality and fun-loving nature he enjoys and greatly likes and Applejack's hard-working and honest nature makes him respect her and wish to work along side her to help and enjoys her company.
