...and don't worry...i actually had a mental break down a few weeks ago when i felt work conflicted with my school schedule (juggling 4 half days with work with school, and i'm still very behind in my assignments!) I spoke to my profs about my situation so they understand. I quit work because the workload was too much for me and am living off OSAP for now....I'm sure they will understand and give you some time to catch up on! Take care and I do hope things work out for you. Try to talk to David though because he'll give you some suggestions to ease on your school troubles and other issues

Thanks for the support Val. It's weird though, because it's not that I have too much work, I'm just not motivated to do any of it. I'm really concerned about my little sister and we have someone living in the apartment with us that's sort of driving me crazy and I just feel like I'm not contributing to anything... hum.

hey Karli, np...I hope you got my emails re: the gallery...hope you can submit something then And yeah I understand, I've been through those ugly periods where I wouldn't get motivated for a bit, but a little push from profs and friends, they help me back on my feet.

I don't know what it is...it's just the lousy start of the year or this crazy weather that makes us feel a little bummed out and unmotivated But yeah, I do hope you get to solve your other personal issues...it does help to talk to someone about it.

Lol. It's probably a combination of both. I definitely will have something to submit. I'm going back to my mom's place for the weekend, and hopefully that will pull me out of these blues. Hopefully have some time to work on my paintings too. But what I'm really excited about is that when I go back home I get to work on some stained glass.

I just mean Im not contributing to anything because I don't have a job. All I do is sit at home and barely do anything at school. And I hate myself for it, but sometimes I think that art is hardly a contributing career base.
I've had times like these before, I'll bounce out I'm sure, but it takes time.

Stained glass sounds very interesting but I didn't get around to it yet...I would love to do that as a group project though, or with a few other friends with me.

Well, I quit work recently just so I can concentrate a lot of my time on school...and trust me, it's difficult to juggle both especially when you have 7-8 courses to deal with (and to think, I was crazy enough to do 4 half days of work, and then school, that drove me insane afterwards!) And I don't know a lot of people in class that has to work and do school at the same time so don't feel too bad about it.

As for art being a career base...well you just gotta talk to the right people in regards to where you really wanna go. I'm aiming for freelance illustration and having works exhibit in galleries. It seems pretty far fetched but I'm very determined to get there. It just takes a lot of patience, drive and passion for what you do and you'll figure that out soon.

Oh hey, we're gonna submit our works after Florian's class in Room 297. We'll be discussing about what to bring for opening night, and how each of us will contribute to the gallery (either they set up the canvases on the wall or they buy food for opening night). But yeah, please come!

the max is 2 pieces...some are submitting just one...its up to you.

anywho - friday, we will be submitting/showcasing our pieces for the gallery...even if it's not done or if its just rough sketches, just show david just so he knows how many pieces will be hanged for that gallery
