Alright, I'm gonna level with you. The Black Beast is one of my more complex and though out characters, but, I have next to no idea as to how the person became the creature. I can tell you that you that it need a host, hence the core, and you need the goop itself. Maybe it could be some sort of ritual, or maybe it's some crazy magic. I can tell you that the what the creature does depends on the host. I hope this helps.

The Black Beast does not like water, but can go in it. It does not float, and it cannot drown. This can be changed if needed as it isn't very important to the Black Beast's story.

And how does he fare with magic; more fire related spells specifically, and destruction too. I know swords are a major weakness but does he have any others?

The Black Beast does not fare well against magic in general, and still has burn wounds from the fight with Sam Bayard. The weaknesses are detailed in the reference sheet, but include vulnerability to extreme temperature, agoraphobia, and occasional catatonia. And it would fare poorly against electricity. Treat it like magic. Also note its reaction the Sam’s outburst towards the end of round one.

Aaaand, how about his emotional range. I know he communicates in growls and such but can grasp English but, how would he react to first seeing something liiike...Lady Fingers, she's a monstrous enough example.
What triggers him; makes him feel pain, sorrow, fear, happyness? And how does the beast express this?

Well, the Black Beast's first instinct tends to be "attack everything," so, unless Lady Fingers is intimidating/large enough, the creature would attempt to attack her on sight.

As for emotion, Bayard demonstrated that screaming for a loved one while being crushed to death causes the Beast to have flashbacks of John. For fear, the Black Beast does not like being confined, or being exposed (agoraphobia), and could suffer from a panic attack if pushed to either extreme. For pain, Madness was shown reaching into a comatose Black Beast and drawing blood (almost as if there was a person or something ridiculous like that inside the goop). Happiness has not been demonstrated yet. However, Madness was able to entice the creature by promising to bring back John, so that can qualify as happiness.

Demonstrating emotion is surprisingly easy for the Black Beast. When angry, is will attack. When is pain, it will roar, then attack. When sad, it would probably run away. When happy, it would probably not attack, although happiness should not be confused with the occasional catatonia.

Lady fingers usually comes in illsusions...or if there happens to be some sort of break in a dimensional rift she'll usually sort of poke out. THing is, she can only operate in illusions of the mind; dreams, occaisionally thoughts, certain realms...that sort of thing. She likes to appear very tall to other people.

She probably wouldn't want Mikey getting that wish either. Just putting that out there.

What exactly would make it happy? I'm pretty sure bringing up John would rustle it's jimmies a bit, no? Is there anything else that would cause it pain aside from hitting it too hard?
Is there anyway you could figure out about John...befriend it. My plans for the fight still aren't set in stone so...I'm not sure what I may do.

Well, I don't want to reveal too much about John, but I will tell you that John is the Black Beast's childhood friend who met an unfortunate fate. I think a genuine display of kindness would make the creature very happy.
