No problem! I love cake, I wish I knew how to cook/bake so I can create something.
I want to cover cakes with fondant. It looks really smooth, I always wonder, from the pictures, if they were actually edible. They look so soft.

Yes I hope one day I am allowed to ever enter the kitchen again! Last time I got half the meal on the floor and the fish I cooked was raw, fries were green. I think i sew better than cooking, my parents are quite aware of my...disadvantage. As a young adult I think I should be able to cook something at least.
But I am sure I can handle baking a cake or two, I used to make cupcakes so I think that wouldn't be disastrous.
Oh! But by all mean submit the recipe if you would like to, I wouldn't want be a bother to you. I usually buy the cake mix and read the instructions from there. I saw how you cut the crusty parts around the cake, and that was a good idea.

To be perfectly honest, I didn't really learn how to cook until I got married and had to do it.
I didn't really grow up with anyone who cooked, so I had to teach myself...and read the back
of packets etc. Once I'd had a bit of practice...I got better, so I'm sure you will...

Well I really wonder why I wasn't graced with what seems like a genetic trait. My grandfather was a chef, I love his food, (though he has long stopped working there and returned to construction, building houses at the age around 70). My mother got his skills and cooks all the time for us.
And then...there's me. No idea how to solidify a cupcake. Then I got food poisioning....yes....
I think I will need to practice in the future if I want to live a life free of junk food and trips to McDonalds/KFC etc.

I'm sure you'll find your skill. Not everyone takes after someone from the family.
If I were you, I would get a simple cook book, and pick something you feel confident
making. I've even got books about different snacks and lunches that I look at when I
need ideas
