Thanks Klint! For me there is nothing like the "performance art" aspect of drawing from life whether it's the human figure or a landscape.

From your own posts I can see you have some very accomplished drafting skills, at least. Hope to see more. Cheers.

Someday I would like to take some life classes, but right now I'm stuck with just landscapes or working from photos. 

Looking at your work, I feel inspired to even just sit out in public and sketch what I see - always heard it was better to draw from life.

My location doesn't have much going on in the art community, but its starting to grow. I've looked on meetup but found the distance too far for traveling. Maybe I should start my own......lol

very fortunate to have access to a live model so often, its been ages since the last time i could draw a live person, so ive been limited to studying from plaster casts in my personal collection and sculptures in the museum

Well that sounds like better and best options for you. I'd like to hit a museum myself and draw a great sculpture. However I give my models 50% credit (at least) for my results. They do bring their own magic to the game.

There is a saying that I use, "time on task". It means do the work and you will see results (guaranteed), often results that you can not anticipate before doing the work. Have fun and keep creating!
