I’m currently reading your Immemorial story. As an officer myself, this touched my heart and I whole heartedly thank you for your support and this tribute. We don’t get much thanks outside of family and friends and losing a brother or sister in blue rips the heart out and smashes it into pieces each time it happens, regardless of if we even knew them.

I started the story as an idea for a tribute and I really wanted anyone to get involved.

After sending out notes, I was glad to have those that wanted to share a story about their family and friends.

I also, a few days before writing, spoke to a close veteran friend of mine and got a few ideas.

This story was one of my favourite ones to write because it's really close to me. 

I have, so far, about a dozen friends in active service, and about twice as many family that's either active or retired.

So I had a large pool of people to pool from for things that seemed appropriate.

Also! Thank You.

I've seen how difficult it is and can only imagine how tough it is every day with increasing havoc and civil unrest.

To those amazing officers that take their time to show love and defend the public, to those who are on the last line of saving lives, I thank them all.

And please know that this won't be the only time that I do a piece in honour of those fallen or serving. Christmas is just around the corner. ^_^

Holidays are always tough. At my last department, I had just sat down on both Father’s Day with my dad and at Thanksgiving to eat and got called away. That Christmas, I missed both sides as my dad’s side day I got too busy with calls to stop by and my mom’s side day was outside the city limits so I couldn’t go.

This year I’m fortunate enough to be able to go to Thanksgiving and Christmas, but I’ll be running short on sleep (extra long night shifts due to being sorthanded) so I won’t get to stay long. Tis the life I chose, though. Luckily, my wife and I have been best friends since long before we got together so she understands and doesn’t hold it against me.

I've said it a million times, and I'll say it again because I'm prone to repeat myself. I usually have words in my mind, stories and plots, and I simply HAVE to write them down! Afterwards is really when I choose to lost it or not.


Recently I've gotten into Zootopia pretty hard and it's basically all I think about! XD So, yeah. I do plan to make more, maybe possibly post one today. I dunno, we'll just see how time goes.
