I feel like I should tell you the long story with this. My best friend's relationship has turned her away from me, changing in a way that I didn't want to happen, but I KNEW was going to happen anyway. Near the end of high school, I got depression and suicidal thoughts because she was slowly changing and I knew that when we finished high school, I would be destroyed, feeling betrayed and abandoned by her...
My Mum's relationship is no better either. Her "boyfriend(it's an on and off sort of thing)" groomed me for future sexual abuse(as I discovered years later through an article about child molesters)at around the age of 12-13(not sure which one). I wasn't physically harmed in any way because I took action and told Mum(considering I didn't have proof, she obviously didn't believe me and during the time after, I often got yelled at...), but I AM mentally damaged. I haven't gotten a diagnosis yet, but I swear I have some sort of PTSD or something, based on how I react when Mum lets him come to our house, or even worse, lets him in! He's never supposed to be allowed to come around because of the obvious, but Mum is clouded with these stupid, "conflicted" feelings of infatuation over him and now I know that I don't have her support...The only person who gives a fuck is my older sister who, inconveniently, lives far away in Queensland! I'm sorry if I wasted your time with this long-ass story...
