# About me
Wolfenlied is a frequent poet (time willing) and occasional prose writer hailing from the Eastern Cape South Africa. He has a keen interest in local herbal teas and music, good coffee, wolves and philosophy regarding the human condition. Both an eccentric lecturer* and carefree logician**, his writing carries a recognisably sober, yet emotional, tone.He believes that sharing writing and improving is more important than getting published and that having means giving. "Stuff" doesn't make life worthwhile. People do.

My pleasure. I see you are a C.S. Lewis fan as well?

Haha a little bit. I'm about to dig in to Mere Christianity

LOVELY book that! My favourite by C.S. Lewis. I can recommend The case for Christ by Lee Stroebel as a similar read. Always liked Lewis's non-fiction more than his fiction.

Yeah... I've only read the Chronicles of Narnia, and I wasn't too into it. I also have the Screwtape Letters sitting on my shelf, though.

I found Screwtape letters ok. It had some profound moments but never really grabbed hold of me. As far as shorter fantasy goes I really like Tolkien's Tales from the perilous realm. What I do like about Lewis specifically is his writing style: It's almost as if flows effortlessly into your mind. It's an amazing style really. One I would love to emulate.

Yeah, definitely. I'm pretty psyched for Mere Christianity. I just hope I have time to read when school starts up again....

After that pick up a copy of This present darkness by Frank E. Perreti (if you haven't already). You won't regret it.

On December 27, 2011 you added a favourite to “Season of Faith” [link] which was listed as a daily deviation. Please be aware that this DD was an insult, and has now been removed. The details of why I had it removed are in my journal. Please refer it for detail. As your was added simply because the deviation was given a DD you may choose to remove it.
Thank you

Although the DD drew my attention to the piece initially, I was enamoured by the photograph itself. It is simply extraordinary and I am not saying that just to win favour, I am sure you are already well aware that you have earned your way to this level.
I have also read your journal and respect your views. I would quite like to have look at your other work as well. If, despite this, you still prefer me to remove the favourite then please let me know.
I was wholly unaware of the magnitude of the metric imposed although I have seen other professional artists (such as `alexiuss ) refer to it. I don't think I've considered other online arts communities beyond dA. I think I may just look for a writers workshop site at some point.

I'm pretty surprised to get a personal reply since you got 478 favourites on it. So, although it's not expected it is appreciated. I find I enjoy Cummings, maybe why I enjoyed yours.

Glad you liked the feather.
A chemistry teacher remarked once that there is very little difference between marking chemistry and creative writing! You are not alone!

The question then is whether creative writing is more formulaic or chemistry more free. I did indeed enjoy the feather. I would love to see it as a DD.
