so yea uh apparently Eclipse is gonna be fully and permanently implemented sometime in mid-May with the old dA being retired
and honestly I'm mostly indifferent about it but I don't like Eclipse because it's an unfamiliar UI, I'm so used to this one and it feels a little more like home for me if that makes sense, who knows maybe when it happens I'll still fly by from time to time just 'cause but it seems like a lot of people are going to leave and migrate when it happens so who knows what dA will be like after that

Hmm...let me first just say that I have no Slavic blood/connection at all so that reason’s already out haha
It might also just be SMITE as a whole that’s a comfort game for me. I had the privilege of being a part of my school’s SMITE esports team. My teammates were some of the coolest people I’ve met and I made a lot of nice memories from being on that team (we even won the state championships!). SMITE was kinda the only (competitive) game I enjoyed and was at least decent at, so it really means a lot to me. It was also kinda the only thing I looked forward to in school.
I took a liking to Chernobog and started trying him out (even though I was introduced to the game after his release). I’m a sucker for otherworldly, gothic, dark fantasy themes so of course he would catch my eye right? The more I played as him, the more he began to really grow on me. He was one of the gods I played the most when I was first learning and improving at the game. He’s become one of my favorite characters/gods, and he’s currently the only god I have on diamond rank, so of course I started growing attached to him in general. You could say he's been a big part of my SMITE journey so maybe that's part of why he's really special to me :D
When I read up more on his lore, I was really fascinated that in his “actual” mythos, he’s depicted as the embodiment of the natural end to all things which is something I really dig! He's also, in a way, helped me overcome my fear of the dark as silly as that sounds lol
Since I could ramble on for much longer but I feel like I already talked your ear off, I'll stop here
(oh and here's another ramble I made about him that I found if you wanna read this as well!)

Yep I was! Though I wasn't extremely serious about it and I wasn't like pro-status at all but I still wanted to be good at the game y'know? xD I play it both for fun and competitively
