Would it be alright if I used the Grim Galloper photo as a reference pic for a drawing?

You can do that.

I posted a different view of the jewel encrusted skull, it should be easier to identify it from this one. [link]

I think you should join our club.
We have many real skulls, but not much death-themed art.

Hello there! ya got some pretty cool skull & bone work in your gallery!

Just wondering is theres any way you could get hold of a crocodile skull thats about 9-11 inches long? I'm currently doing a tribute piece to 1 of my favourite artist - Jean Tinguely & the centre piece is a croc skull (well at least a cast of it) Been searching high & low for 1, but with no luck! & living in the UK doesn;t help of course!

If you or any of your group memebers could help me out, I would be very greatful!

Cheers

WorldBoneClub In reply to t0rtured-s0ul [2008-12-31 18:22:01 +0000 UTC]

Sorry. The last crocodile in Israel was shot in the 1920's.
So I, Snoosmumrik, cannot help you in that. The Americans in our club should be luckier.

PS most of the bones and decay stuff you see on my page is natural, few shot from a museum... used to know the cooking and water and beetle and ants techniques...

Hello there. I would like to join your club. I collect animal skulls, bones, and other specimens. I also like to paint skulls and add feathers and the like to them. A few of these are currently being made, but I have a few finished things I could put up.

Hey there!

I think I'd like to join the club, so...err...

Can I?

I don't have any real bones except for cow tails, chicken wings, duck feet, and goose necks. And they smell good. The sauce is delicious...oh, wait, I'm rambling...

I've made a model of a Smilodon's skull. Would that count?

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

WorldBoneClub In reply to PoemDragon [2008-04-26 06:52:35 +0000 UTC]

I think it would.

The club will be back in action in a week's time and then we'll see.

I would like to join!
I've got a few graphic bone pictures in my gallery from where I work- an ER/critical care vet hospital.
I also work at a taxidermy shop, but haven't posted any pictures from there on here yet.

Interesting Club. I'd be interested in joining & partaking somehow.

I collect and sculpt with bones and skeletons, as well as being a hobby paleontologist. Fossils are the business

Vivienne-Mercier [2008-01-26 15:03:05 +0000 UTC]

Interesting site! I don't care for the half-decayed critters, but I do like their bones once all the icky bits are gone.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

WorldBoneClub In reply to Vivienne-Mercier [2008-01-26 15:50:30 +0000 UTC]

Well, the mostly-dead creatures are saying things quite different from the completely dead ones.

Thay have different uses in art.

there used to be a dead cow in the woods near where i live. i dunno why it was there or whether it was supposed to be there, but if id been a bit braver it would have made some fantastic photos. i just didnt like it at the time. interesting idea for a club.
