I don't like the idea of shining force 1 remake. The graphics are completely over-raped (I mean cmon...the people are almost as big as the screen) and the amount of colors used is hideous.
Card System? Bags to hold stuff? I liked my slow process of filling up healing seeds. Why did they do this to my love! *grabs sega and shining force crying*
Lowe also hits on Kris. That's just scary.

I don't mind the graphics too much. I didn't like them when I first saw them, But I'm rather used to them now. Although, I still prefer the Genesis ones.
I have yet to use the card system at all. I refuse to use any of the new characters on the grounds that they are lame. Very very lame.
Still, I don't own the genesis one, so the GBA one is my small bastion of Shining Force goodness.
I'm on chapter 7 and Lowe has yet to continue the courting of Kris. Sad really.

I have the original shining force on genesis. Hey, you could download it from a fansite and play it through an emu. If you're caught, just say I have an original and you can use mine

Sad in the sense that I want to see Kris beat Lowe up. She seemed very replused by Lowe. 
I haven't used the card system at all. I'm just collecting them for the pictures on them. I dunno. If the new character hadn't added so many new classes and such I might have grown to like them. But they're just sillly looking and the only one that make a lick of sense being in there is Narsha. Although I hate her, too. She's such a pansy.
Heh. I have the game as part of a Sega smashpack. But it's not the same playing on the computer.

Oooh, Shining Force art...tha game was always my favorite, wishing Sega could do more versions of it for the geneses after part II.

I, too, wish that Shining Force had more games on the Genesis. It's hard trying to find ways to play the other now that they're on outdated systems.

I just checked them out, I wonder why they put Kane without his mask on the cover. I hope the other 2 don't continue after the 3rd one, I never got ahold of the last 2 scenarios. But I did read the translation to the second scenario.

Shining Tears should be a completely new game. As far as I know anyway.
The other Shining Force isn't due out for another 2 years, though. Changes are, it will follow the general storyline of the other Shining Force, but be completely different then Shining Force 3. I hope anyway, as I haven't played any of SF3.

That's cool, I loved the storyline of the first 2, did you play any of the GameGear ones? The first GameGear one had some of the children of the SFI characters and Arni is Queen in it. And the third GameGear one had Max, OddEye and Darksol return in it. Well, that's good that they are not continuing from Shining Force III. But you should play it one day, it's pretty good.

That you did. 3 new shining games have been announced. Shining Tears and a new Shining Force for the PS2, and the Shining Force 1 remake for the GBA, which is out now in Europe. [link]
