# About me
I'm currently a full-time University student, focusing on Creative Writing, English and Theatre Studies. I have some idea of what I'd like to do in the future, but all my interests require a lot of luck and talent, so I'm not sure of where I'll be when I graduate. I want to be a writer in various mediums - novels, comic books, playscripts, you name it! But it's going to be hard to get into the industry! Everything I'm writing at the moment is either for assignments, or work I'd rather keep and not be made available to the public, so I hope that I can come up with some practice stories for you to look at in the future.If I haven't been online, I'm probably working on assignments, presentations and exam revision, or I'm just being lazy.
I really started trying to improve my art this year, and already I'm proud of where I've come! So, I'm hoping that, when I'm not studying, I'll be able to keep up my drawing and colouring practice and improve myself. If I get better, I may even try to draw and write my own webcomic - the emphasis was on the "try" there!

Clothes in stores seem to be so much more expensive, ill-fitting and "fashionable" (i.e. "horrible" XD) nowadays, so it wouldn't be hard to design a better wardrobe for me, lol. Yeah, I've seen so many people here who design awesome outfits, but I guess you have to find someone with the skills and time to make them. I wish I was any good at textiles, but I hate sewing machines! XD

Ugh, yeah I almost died there a couple of times, but I think I managed to pull through. I submitted my last assignment a few days ago, so hopefully I can get my tablet soon. (I've been waiting until I finish to get it, beacause I knew that I'd procrastinate! XD)

It came an hour ago, at 8:30, so I was really glad that my mum had the day off work - I would probably be getting up now, lol! OK, well I'm off to set this thing up. And, well, tidy my desk first! XD

I spent all day attempting to draw with it, and I think I'm getting better! (My drawings were a bit wonky at the start there, lol.)
And I could finally do a magazine tutorial I had been dying to try out about painting realistic portraits. The face I painted is looking better than I expected, especially considering that GIMP doesn't have the brushes they tell you to use to blend it. So hopefully I'll just keep improving with it!
Not sure how I'll do with the eyes, or the other facial features, though, but I'm sure I'll learn something through the process.
Haha, I can't wait to colour it! But I think I'll want to get some experience first. OK, I'm off to do some colouring!
Oooooh, I want to practice painting backgrounds! I'm just realising the possibilities now - backgrounds used to be impossible!
And I should probably do the requests I have left. Art block sucks, but I think it's been cured. Seriously, drawing's really fun on a tablet - for me it's much faster to draw and easier to edit with it, which is awesome!

How did you know? I just spent the last few hours searching for tutorials! (I swear, you're psychic or something. XD)
And you have a large collection of anatomy ones! Yeah, I definitely need to look at those.
I'm still using trusty GIMP, but it's pretty similar to Photoshop, so they should all work with it. My tablet came with some drawing software, but I'm waiting until I get a new computer to install them. My laptop only has two USB ports, so it'll be a temporary home for it! (Only having two ports is the worst - I don't know how I survived all these years! XD) Can't wait 'till I can finally install Photoshop Elements!
Haha, I'll make sure to put up a sketch dump with all my failed tablet drawings for you to see. There's an increasing pile of them, but I guess they show my improvements. (And I don't seem to be as wonky now!)
Anyway, all those tutorials... wow... they should keep me busy for hours!

GIMP is a good one. I think you can even upload Photoshop brushes to it and use them.

Really? Hmm... I'll try that out in GIMP. I've tried before and the brushes haven't been compatible, but maybe there's a trick to it? Guess I'll go find out - to Google!
Yeah, I've been wanting to upgrade for a while. I had no idea that it only had two ports until I brought it home - the store had run out of the model I'd ordered so I didn't get a good look at the one they gave me. Oh well, it's served me well despite only having two ports!
I want to get Flash at some point, too. Doing animations would be really cool - I'm sure you'd make some really awesome ones! I hope you can get them both soon!

Yup, I downloaded a few brushes, and they worked! There's nothing really special to do, you just put them in the brushes folder, but I think I might have had the wrong file type when I tried before.
Haha, yeah I'll get to doing some drawings when I finish my colouring practice to make this a really massive dump (unless I like the drawings, that is! XD). Hopefully I can finishing colouring today - I'm working on the background at the moment, and then adding colours from the background to the character. And even now I can tell you that this tablet was an awesome purchase!
