Ermmmm.... I will start on the night Nix enters then?
~Another endless day of torture, everything gets worse and worse as the days pass by slowly. She couldn't even remember what day it was or which month, or even the time but her cell was dark so she assumed it was either another gloomy, stormy day or a calm soundless night. Kalina always looked forward to the little things that she could enjoy and one routine she's been doing for years was watching the sunset and falling asleep to the moonlight. However, her nights weren't so peaceful in UN2 and she was afraid to fall asleep. The cell guard as usual, would escort her to her cell, making her limp on her own. They would often tear up her legs so the pain of walking was unbearable and she prefered to be dragged and thrown into her cell but even that couldn't happen. After taking many steps, gazing down at her wrists in shackles she finally reached her cell where she was shoved violently into the corridor sending her weak knees to collapse to the cement floor, scraping her bare knees. She didn't even flinch to the pain and instead slowly rose her head t look up to the light the shone through her window. A cold breeze crawled around the cell causing her to shiver and tremble. A small smile appeared on her dry lips as the moon revealed itself from behind the clouds just for her. A moment of hope appeared in her eyes but as the moon hid behind the passing clouds she slowly curled up in exhaustion and closed her eyes. She grew hatred towards everyone that betrayed her, everyone she knew in her life didn't care of her existence. She was taught to hate herself for being a "devil child", taking the blame of everyone's misfortunes. She grew hate, and with that she became angry but these scientists were much stronger than her but they talk about her like she's some sort of danger to them. Thoughts roamed in her mind as she lay in the corner of her cell, the cold concrete was not comforting so she imagined it as snow or ice, like in the pond behind the church she was abandoned in. She suddenly heard the horrid sound of the scientists shoes walking closer and closer to her cell, she opened her eyes and looked up to find a girl around her age being escorted towards a cell, her eyes filled of confusion and fear. The guard escorted her much gentler than he did with her but it's normal with new prisoners and patients. She didn't even bother to look out her cell to where the girl was going to be caged like the few others across from her but instead closed her eyes and listened playing a guessing game in her mind.~

She had been confused more so than she would have been in any other situition. Her friend and mentor basically her only family had killed her? But that wasnt possible people didnt just die and come back! Yet here she was being escorted into an unfamiliar place shcackled for an unknown reason. LIke she might attack them or something she could barely walk straight her mind was covered in fog and her head was spinning. She looked to her right to see a girl laying against the floor, her hair covered her face and Nix could not tell if she was sleeping or awake. Her gaurd pushed her gently into the cell to left of the sleeping girl and Nix staggered in to look at her spartan surroundings. The walls were made of bricks and there was a drain in the center of the small cell. She looked upwards and saw a sprinkler? She wondered why they would need it since she doubted anything would catch fire. She turned back towards her escort her head slightly spun at the motion. He had locked the barred door and was walking away keys jingling in his hands. She slumped to the ground feeling exhausted, too many thoughts trying to be voiced and she shut her eyes hoping to block it out. Eventually she moved to the far corner of the cell and got as comfortable as she could, let her head slump agaist the wall and fell into a deep sleep. She woke up to hear what sounded like a brick being gently pushed, rubbing against the other bricks. She opened her eyes to see said brick inching forward in front of her face. Surpirsed she hit it, and jumped only to be stopped by the wall she leaning against.

Kalina snickered to herself, starting a new game that could get her through the night. She eventualy got bored of the little brick game that she bugged her new neighbour with and decided to start conversation, it had been so long since she had spoken to someone the words had to be forced out. She stuttered a bit on her first few sentences but eventually remembered the flow. "Y-you know...you're in a bad place right now" she spoke in an exhausted tone. "Nothing will ever get better here, it's worse than hell for most of us" she paused for a moment, "You'll probably die like everyone else has, don't expect a good treatment from a family, your parents will never find you and be convinced that your dead, but trust me, you'd rather be dead here, kill yourself while you can because you won't be recognized as a hero if you get through it" she said strictly with a sharp sarcastic tone, assuming the girl came from a normal, happy life of having a family that cared for you and loved you. She sighed not even waiting for a reply expecting the girl to whine and cry like the rest. It was obvious that she had been here a bit longer and her emotions were hidden or she had none and was as cold as the cell walls that surrounded them.

When Nix heard the other girl from the cell beside her say all that she flinched, then smiled a sad smile before replying shakily. "I don't have family anymore. They died when I was little child everyone was killed. Mother, Father, my younger brother too." She looked down to her wrists remembering that night, hearing their screams and her baby brothers wailing it was almost too much to bare. She examined the chains that shackled her, It would almost be too easy to dig the metal into her skin and bleed, but deep down she thought it would be a useless effort. Although that would not stop her from trying if she wanted to. "I do not believe in heroes. They are..." She paused momentarily thinking about how to describe them. "Deceptive." She hunched over and grabbed her arms. Trying so hard to remember how she got here but it was blurry and soon drew a blank. Suddenly she turned to her neighbor's wall she had never talked to others so openly, really the only one she had contact with was... She shook her head before asking quietly "How did you get here? What of your family?" Nix curiously watched the wall waiting for an answer.

A small gasp slipped from her mouth in surprise that she'd ask such a thing so quickly. She narrowed her eyebrows as the memories flourished in her mind all at once eroding her emotions. She replied sarcastically "My family was just perfect, didn't want anything to do with me I was a burden to them no matter how much I tried to prove them wrong...." She paused for a moment. "They were stubborn." she continued sharply. "I wasn't allowed to be exposed to the outside world so I never met any friends". She spoke harshly when she mentioned the word "friends" as if it were a foreign word to her, something of a different language. She cut off the subject avoiding to say anymore otherwise more and more memories would circle her and she would have wasted her time trying to forget them. "You could say, betrayal got me here" she said it as if she was the one that did something wrong. She sunk slowly to the cell floor exhaling a deep sigh.

She felt sympathy to the other girl. Nix had been travelling most her life seeing the world but not the people. But this girl had been caged like a bird, only to be freed and caged again. "Betrayal huh." Saying the word made Nix shiver. She wondered if it was her family that betrayed her, or some other unknown element. Nix didnt dwell on it for long though, If the girl wanted to tell her she would, and Nix didnt think she was going anywhere anytime soon. Although she thought to herself, what would it be alike if she had been alone with no one to talk to no one to sit beside or have fun with. Nix atleast had him by her side but what if that girl had been alone, what if her family tried to kill her, or left her to die somewhere or locked her in a tower with no escape! Like in a story she was once told. She got up and started pacing around back and forth. Then she realized something. She didnt know the other girls name. Nix sat back down near the wall and leaned close to it. "My name is Nix, of Kashgar. What is your name?" She paused before quickly adding "And if you dont tell me I'll just call you bird or birdie." She smiled to herself, waiting to see if she would be answered.

Kalina scowled at the silly nickname "birdie" and sat silent for a brief moment, struggling to say her name as if she had forgotten it. No one really called her by name and the scientists named her a specific number with no belonging whatsoever. "K-Kalina, my name is Kalina" she spoke as if she was repeating some command, the words were in the tone of someone else's not her own for she pretty much forgot her own name. When the slight sound of her name emmited from her mouth memories flourished, but none were painful or regretful like most. "I'm of Italy in a city known as Castello" she said outloud as if she were reading off something, in this case it was the sudden flashbacks she was reading from. She looked back to where Nix said she was and it didn't ring a bell. She had no idea where Kashgar was located becauase she was forbidden to go to school and really only knew some cities of Italy due to various travels she had with the priest. She sighed slouching over, hugging her knees looking down at her toes. There really was only one thing she missed in Castello and it wasn't her family.

"Kalina of Castello" She murmed aloud to herself, smiling. Nix felt happy. So happy that after a moment of pause she laughed. It was just funny how she had never made friends while she was free travelling the world yet now in a cell underground. Nix had met Kalina. Someone Nix thought of a a friend even though she barely knew her. She put her hand on her mouth trying to quiet her laughter and after a minute she stopped laughing. Just in time to hear footsteps walk closer and come to stop infront of her cell. The man jingled a few keys before finding one and using it to open her cell. He walked in and stood before her for a momnet before grabbing her upper arm and dragging her away. Nix was in a state of confusion as she stumbled after the stranger. But soon she was frigtened not knowing where he was taking her or if she would be able to go back and talk to her new friend. He took her down the narrow hallway into a room filled with strange tools.
