# About me
Hey, I'm Dan. I currently live in Simi Valley, California, and I'm just figuring out what it's like to live on packaged ramen. I'm currently employed, but what I really want to do is animation, or maybe something in writing. I've even recently considered music. I'm never certain of what I want, you see.I've always loved drawing, but I never did it on a regular basis because I didn't have much that inspired me. The same goes for writing, with most of my work being some kind of poetry and not many stories. In general, my creativity was very sporadic... but then I discovered MLP and everything just kind of snowballed from there. Interestingly enough, I only found out about the brony community after watching the show and realizing I loved it.
Hobbies? I read stuff (fiction, preferably sci-fi, but I can read non-fiction if it's something cool), I play video games (FPS, action RPGs, rhythm-based, run-and-gun, some fighters, WoW), I play various tabletop games (Magic the Gathering, World of Warcraft TCG, HeroClix), and I listen to music (thrash/power/NWOB/death/symphonic/folk/black metal, classic rock, industrial, and punk).

Honestly, I couldn't tell you if I tried. Holidays, drama between friends, work going downhill, getting a new computer, losing and finding my cat, getting my driver's license, people shanghaiing me away from my ponies through promises of good times or World of Warcraft...
But I'm actually still working on the drawing. I don't know how or why I've continued with it, because I would have dropped anything else that would take this long to complete.
Also, I missed episodes of MLP in all of that! I AM A TERRIBLE BRONY

Hey, sometimes we have control of our lives, and sometimes our lives have control of us. I'm glad you found your cat after losing it, and congrats on getting your license (makeatriptocentralcali*cough*). And I know how you feel about having your time consumed by WoW. I mean, I never played WoW personally, but I have a different MMO that still sometimes sweeps me away.
That drawing's too good to give up on. Even if it takes a while to get out, you have to finish it. Like I said before, the world can't survive without it. Who knows, it could end up being your current Magnum Opus.
And yeah the whole pony thing...there's been a lot of unnecessary turbulence within the community lately, so it's good you didn't have to put up with it. I almost have up on being a brony. Don't get me wrong, though -- the past few episodes have been top-notch, and I love the show itself now more than ever. The Last Roundup is the flat-out funniest to date. I guarantee it. But sometimes drama just beats the magic out of things, y'know?

Is it regarding Derpy's increase in inclusion in the latest episodes? I've seen a range of stuff between the name being a slur against the mentally challenged, and something about them wanting to change it back to Ditzy Doo... man, I've been out of the loop for a while. I'll probably be able to catch up on the current events pretty quickly, though.

Yeah, you pretty much hit the nail on the head. The former group was very loud and very vicious, and the latter group didn't seem to remember that she was never called Ditzy Doo in the first place. It was just...all bad. 100% bad. Pointless, mindless drama for its own sake. I guess that's what happens when you throw such a ravenous beast a bone, though.
But yeah, things seem to be getting back to normal. Plus, new episode in about, what, 30ish hours? Assuming you haven't watched it yet, since it was leaked on iTunes early. Kind of funny, that.
