Hey I just found out that TabletPC computers CAN be used as a Cintiq style display for another computer: forum.tabletpcreview.com/table…

This technique requires a bit of tweaking around, but it means you can use a really cheap used tablet PC even if it doesn't have a hard drive. You install Linux on the tablet PC and use it to remote control your main computer (which can have Windows installed).

This would work really well with the slower Motion Computing LE1700, because it has a nice high resolution screen (1400x1050) but the 1.2Ghz single core processor is sluggish on its own.
