yah i'll be going there this august, idk if i'll be able to afford it because my brother is spending my family's money like it's water. but my mother assured me that we'll be okay and ive been applying for scholorships. So hopefully i can get at least 1 good one.

Yah I know what you mean. I would have loved to do more toning techniques with the pen. What are waterspouts?
This class did help me understand proportions better though and drawing action

I think the proportion part of the class was the most helpful out of everything. It was the most detailed.
You drawings were pretty good when it came proportion though

The only thing I'm having trouble with proportion is the size of the limbs. I keep making them too long haha

well for arms i know that the elbow should just be a little above the belly button and the hand should be a hand's length away from the knee if the figure is just standing normally

how about when you do things like action poses where the arm is away from the body?

when i do that, i pretend as if they are still standing straight up. despite the angle of the limb (imagine u have a manikin (sp?)) the elbow should still be where the belly button is the hand should still be a hand's length away from the knee. Like u should be able to put back the arm to it's normal position. i do this by measureing with my fingers. take ur thumb and forefinger and measure the segment (say the shoulder to the elbow) and then bring it back to the figure's side. if the joints are too low or too high, then you have to fix something. a lot of these are eye balled for me, but mainly if you have the same measurements as if ur character is standing straight the proportions should be correct in the action ur drawing. it may need some alterations depending on the angle but if u want it to looks as correct as possible try doing that and see what happens.

but with angles it is tough to estimate so i suggest kidnapping a friend for a bit and make them do poses for you if ur having trouble XD some of them wont mind i swear XD or u can make strange poses in the mirror if u need to, but it's better to get ur friends to model XD
