Yeah for sure! It doesn't help that I have a terrible camera either! But it's okay because I know next to nothing about photography. Something I've always wanted to learn more about.

Photography seems to be mostly about talent and timing. Someone with a good "eye" can take good photos with a crappy camera, and someone with a crappy "eye" can take crappy photos with the most expensive camera on the market. But, don't get me wrong: When I saw an ad for the new Nikon Coolpix (a model somewhere between a basic point-and-shoot and a big pro D series), I drooled like a dog over bacon.... There's nothing wrong with my current model (also a Coolpix, and I love it), but the idea of a faster camera that can shoot video with audio (mine doesn't) made me want one, even if I don't really need it.

No way! I have a Nikon Coolpix too! It would definitely be nice if it were faster, but I still really like it. I just need to figure out how to use some of its features still! Haha

I was so intimidated when I first got it. The manual was huge! But, I got braver, and now I have a few favorite settings. I've even played around with using natural light instead of the flash (morning light works best).
