Since you plan to go to Yale and whatnot, how is the art program there and everything? A friend of mine is thinking of applying there for art but she wants to know how good it is.

Yeah, my friend is pretty damn amazing, thus she's in illustration. Okay, cool, I have no idea how this whole damn thing works anyway, I'm applying to regular art focused schools.

Me too, I'm pretty horrid at everything else, so I'm just going for it. Plus the chance to have less classes I hate eludes me.

Let me put it this way: the graduate school in art gets more dealers and recruiters there than any other school in the country, including art schools.
It has better art than any of the other top 20 universities bar none.
AND my art teacher at the SVA last summer used to show us drawings of college students but guess what college they were all from despite her having gone to the SVA? Yale.
So yeah. Good art. I promise.
But you know you don't really apply FOR art or anything...
