# About me

Inspired from an early age by a host of animes, cartoons, movies and especially video games-Adam has creatively pursued an artistic lifestyle involving nearly every medium within his reach. Initially learning how to accurately draw pre-existing images of his favorite franchise characters, a natural talent for illustration was obvious. However, with difficulty in social situations, a dark sense of humor and the influence of his older brothers Matthew and Ryan Pifer- a personal style was beginning to evolve. Becoming increasingly resourceful and intellectual, Adam began expanding upon the concepts and questions that had driven his life- forming new and profound theories. Eventually, art became his creative outlet to express himself and his theories, which required his undivided attention via a higher education.
Enrolled in the Myers School of Art at the University of Akron, Adam discovered a community of artists that belonged to a broken and corrupt system comfortable in a withering world of ignorance and selfishness. Constantly battling with his peers, professors and the modern trends of the art realm, Adam began looking upon the world with wondering and challenging eyes. He then began theorizing the potential of the untapped and typically lame mind within everyone. Taking a particular interest in perception, optical illusions, philosophy and psychology- Adam's works reflect upon a ceaseless quest to discover himself, the meaning of life and spirituality. Studying politics, world civilizations and religion generated even more interest for Adam and fueled the flames, which cradled his inspirations. However, his thoughts and ideas were consistently suppressed and scrutinized for being different by his superiors. Having a long standing "You show me respect, I'll show you respect," mentality and a general lack of tolerance to authority, forced him to fight against the machine holding him back.
He now works to question nearly everything and anything, living life by what he has learned through the experiences of his art and creating works, which represent the culmination of all his research and hatred towards modern society. With an unparalleled originality and a dark, twisted and often grotesque vision- Adam strives to remain a front runner in avant-garde art upon the eve of an overdue revolution.
