Thanks for all the advice and I'll definitely check out the tutorials. More likely than not my hand will expire before I am ever satisfied with the detail but that's the way it goes. =]

You're welcome. I guess the trick is to do it once with all the detail, and then figure out how to get the same effect with less. It's amazing how much detail the eye will fill in for itself, given the right cues. Best of luck with the mountains and I look forward to seeing the results.

I know! Right now I'm up to volume 6 and I love how the tension that's building up. I love the struggle Nana O. is going through. I guess, I just love the whirl wind of emotion. Sometimes I find myself yelling at the characters (especially Hachi). I love books that just suck you in, like Nana.

I don't much like Takumi either. He's two-faced and not honest about his feelings (whatever they may be). And just so you know n13....so unfair..... so cruel.... T.T
