I’m a twenty-something student working towards my Bachelors in Social Work, with a degree in Human Services under my belt. I work as an advocate for children who’ve been physically and sexually abused in the upstate SC region. For self-care, I write poetry, prose, and for mockery purposes….. fan fiction.

I rarely get on DA anymore, but I do return from time-to-time to catch up with old friends, stalk new Labyrinth and Firefly art, and generally let everyone know I’m still alive. If you want to talk to me, it’s better to reach out via social media.

You're welcome, just remember to be careful with the disease and parasite thing. I'd hate to see anything transfer to you, and you end up hospitalized. My mother is a nurse, so I'm rather cautious when it comes to these sorts of things. But, gloves and a surgical mask should protect you from anything harmful.

Awe. You're sweet. I have a box of latex gloves I use when I handle my dead things and I keep my pets away from them, too. I try to be careful when handling my dead things as well because my grandpa used to hunt and he would always warn me about the parasites and diseases that I could get if I messed with the deer he killed too much. I always wanted to pet them is why he would have to warn me. lol

You're a far stronger woman than me. We had to dissect pig and cow hearts at school. I couldn't bring myself to really touch one, but they are quite fascinating to look at.

We never had to dissect hearts at the school I went to. We did do frogs, though. Honestly dissecting animals has been part of my life since before I can remember. I've always been around my grandpa, helping him out with his deer and all so I didn't really have a problem with cutting into a frog. lol
