And they're all designed based on their countries stereotypes.
(Russia drinks vodka, is tall and scary, Germany drinks beer and likes wurst)
And most of the setting in Hetalia is during World War 2.
Some of it isn't though.

Human name (Optional: Origin of the name): Samantha {Its said to be a lesser-masculine name for "Samuel"} Goes strongly by Sam.
Relationships: Kentucky itself is very isolated, and a little bit more then just a bit hostile at first, so others tend to stay away. However, to the exception of this; Kentucky is more open to family.
Pets?: A grey-toned brindled Grey Hound called Azurite.
Human Age: Relatively speaking, 17-19 region.
Birthday: October 14th
Height: 5' 5"
Weight: Around 120lbs
Languages known: Knows Spanish, english of course, and Japanese and "student" in Chinese.
Appearance: Kentucky is a blonde, no 'doubt bout that. But some might actually consider her a bit of a cross-dresser, as she tends to ware actually thick clothes, jeans, and her hair style is in that typical fashion. Not to mention her voice isn't the most feminine, or her stance, and she certainty doesn't fit the Queen's equivalent of a "lady." She tends to ware heavy, loose and low jackets and a just typical T-shirt at times. So needless to say, she isn't the most formal. Her outfits can change from a hoodie, to a normal jacket, and heavy, heavy, jacket come the times of cold. As for how she walks, stiff-spine for the most part, occasionally leaning over in seats and laying back in chairs. She actually has a bit of a chewing tobacco problem, its basically her formality of casual.
Personality : Kentucky is a generally isolated state, tends to stick to herself. Attempts at befriending her tends to fall to a formality of hostility, but can be befriended. Its just a bit more then difficult. When she sought statehood in the new American Union she met with fierce opposition for several years, only gaining admittance in 1792 after threatening to go over to Spain which controlled that river. Showing off her relatively in-movable state of mind. Had Kentucky become Spanish, the United States as we know them would never have existed, and the history of the world would have run very differently.
Kentucky has the largest coal field in the Appalachian Mountains. This makes her bounty plentiful, as many farmers and whatnot often farm crops like Wheat, Barley, Apples and Soybeans. This of course increases America all together.

Kentucky being a for the most part internally isolated state, lacks many qualities that regularly visited ones get. Giving Kentucky both a not-so-wealthy economy, and its said that Kentucky (Mostly as a rumor.) may of even became so isolated at a time that in-breeding may of occurred. This isolation none the less effects the surrounding states as well as the way many states look towards Kentucky.

Appearance: Kentucky is a medium sized lightweight so to speak, with blonde short-cut hair and blue eyes. She has a tendency to be mistaken as male, as she can be defined as a "cross-dresser." Her closet often varies, mostly thick rounded clothes, that are very loose. Looking at her, you would figure just that she was a guy. Knowing her gender, you'd figure she was a bit of a tom-boy by her rough, competitive, and bit more then a rock stillness in judgement. Oh, and she is. (See more in personality.) Her typical wardrobe is nothing but jeans for pants, and variants of jackets, shirts, T-shirts, etc. As for her.. breast size, its not "small" or relatively large. If you did happen to see her normally, then she would often have a bit of chewing tobacco in her mouth.

Biography ; Kentucky became internationally known for its violent feuds, especially in the mountains. {Hehehehe.. McCoys vs Hatfields as an example} They pitted the men in extended clans against each other for decades, often using assassination and arson as weapons, along with ambushes, gunfights, and per-arranged shootouts.
While remaining loyal to the Union, Kentucky was a border state during the American Civil War. The state was officially neutral until a new legislature with strong Union sympathies took office. The majority of the State's citizens also had strong Union sympathies. Confederate General Leonidas broke Kentucky's neutrality by invading Kentucky. As a result of the Confederate invasion, Union General Ulysses S. Grant entered Kentucky. Angered by the Confederate invasion, ordered the Union flag to be raised over the state capitol in Frankfort, declaring its allegiance with the Union. During a convention, Southern sympathizers attempted to establish an alternative state government with the goal of secession but failed to displace the government in Frankfort. Confederate General Edmund Smith's Army of East Tennessee invaded Kentucky and later Confederate General Bragg's Army of Mississippi entered Kentucky beginning the Kentucky Campaign. Bragg's retreat left the state under the control of the Union Army for the remainder of the war.
