I bet you're the last one who can see how much more confident the work is your gallery is getting, then-to-now. Keep pushing on. Keep being so courageous in your composition and execution techniques...!

Thanks for the words, man. Today's been a weird one, between being awarded a Daily Deviation and selling a painting (the Hunter S Thompson stencil), I've been trying (and failing) to keep a straight face. Right now, I'm looking at projects/canvases I've lined up and planning the time I devote to them; it's all I can do. If I could only value my work properly, I don't know, I might be able to make a living out of it. That's the dream, anyway.

But enough about basking in the glow of your success...
I really doubt anyone "value[s] their work properly" as of a single celestial moment. It's a learned behavior - no matter what those critical voices say (that sound a lot like, um, this person or that one). When I have a paycheck coming in again I'll be looking real hard at your prints - and it's a good era for selling things online or in person, so I hope it'll be easier to get to the point of "making a living out of it" for you young turks than it ever would've been for your elders.

Cheers for the words, mate. The DD has boosted morale quite a bit, I'm trying to get enough work together to hold an exhibition somewhere. "Unfortunately", people keep buying my stencils (at a cheap price, I may add); a friend commented that I'm possibly the only artist in existence to complain about people buying their work.
But I see selling them now as a short-term goal; money in my pocket, and a short-lived morale boost...organising an exhibition and bumping the prices up, getting my name out there and watching commissions roll in as friends of the buyers see my work on living room walls and are referred to me, and the potential for going self-employed. THAT'S long-term. Just hopefully not TOO long-term.
