Good evening, Aljosa. Greetings to you from California, where I'm nine hours behind you and just beginning my slog through the final work day of the week. Thank you for the fave on Shiva-Shakti-Ganga Maa . I made that one eight years ago, and the original finally sold last year. Thank you especially for sharing your own creative work and visual style. I especially enjoy your traditional work and portraiture; but even you digital work has a painterly feel to it.

Hello Ed, thank you for your kind words and taking the time to write this. I really love the Shiva-Shakti-Ganga piece — I've always been attracted to Eastern philosophies and that particular artwork immediately spoke to me. I also find Phyllis Coates and the Origins of My Fetish to be a very powerful work.
As for my own work, I do enjoy painterly style more and more as I grow as an artist. In the beginning I wanted to render the hell out of everything, but I later I came to know the value of being loose and spontaneous without loosing sight of the fundamental principles of art.
Have a beautiful weekend! Here in Slovenia the spring is just starting to wake up, but higher up the mountains are still under deep snow.

Great idea for a new group......I think everyone forgets it's very different drawing in outdoor weather conditions.....and you draw quite differently to how you would if you were at home.....when studying art a while ago I used to often carry a sketch book with me and was forever drawing places I visited or even drawing people on buses....I still have them now I should maybe upload them....I had more energy for art then now life has kind of taken over at times though when things get really tough I always go back to my drawings which are mainly traditional/fantasy/horses and wolf's....sorry about the long message....I'm also keen on Buddhism...well hope the group continues to do well

Yeah, I couldn't agree more, drawing outdoors is a totally different thing, but at the same time you learn so many valuable things that you can use in your studio environment. I hope you find the time to upload your life & plein air drawings. I'd love to see them. I'll do my best to continue the group and keep it active. I'll write up some blog posts and maybe start periodic art challenge prompts when more people join the group.
