Well, just that I happened to be awake and I was browsing through my feed and I saw you posted a new character, and I really liked him, so I started reading the other ones too

Probably wise. So you like my characters? Awesome! I feel like I can write the concepts down well but I occasionally have trouble getting into their heads to see how they'd react in certain situations, that's the main reason all of them are available for RPs no matter what. Well, except Silver, I have him on character lockdown as I do some MAJOR changes.

Yup, I think they are really interesting. Hm, that sometimes happens with me too, though I oftenly try to wait a moment before I do anything with them just to know what would they do (Still, there are some of my characters that have been around for quite a while, those are the easiest for me to rp with, even if i haven't RP'd for a long time). Oh, and I see, I should update some of my chars too, but I'm just too lazy for that, lol.

Yeah. Silver's going through basically a total overhaul. Motivation, appearance and some of his backstory are being reworked from the ground up. One of the things that's sent some of my writing buddies for a loop is that he's blonde now when he's always had dark brown hair.

Well, that's a big change. Usually I would just update slightly their appearance more than their motives or backstory, because for me it would be a bit hard to change it all, and still keeping them as the same character.

Oh, I never said it was easy. If it was, he wouldn't be locked down for approaching on three months. However, it was a necessary change because, how I planned it, he was a tragic figure but not a heroic one. An anti-hero you shouldn't root for. I mean, he's doing perhaps THE single most horrible thing to people in order to further his own goals and, in his blindness to his actions, suffers the exact same fate. But I made him too redeemable as a person, so I had to change quite a few things to accommodate it.

I didn't know that, I think I've never tried to do one, just because lately I've been doing more of the neutral type, like watchers, or narrators. They're for a story I'm writing atm. Also I was thinking of doing an RP with any of them, but I think it would be kinda boring, because all they can do is watch what's happening before them, unless they are attacked personally, that's the only case where they could do anything more than sitting around and talking.Β

Actually, most artists I've met say that it's better that way. Too many colors can make a character overly-detailed. They say more than four colors can be bad character design and even four is stretching it to a limit.

Characters tend to be larger than life, as such, they need to be as identifiable as possible, so a large amount of different, vibrant colors tends to take away from that. Take Iron Man for example, aside from his other suits, his main has only two colors, red and gold. And yet, he's one of Marvel's most identifiable characters because of his simplistic yet detailed attire.
