Aw that is so cute! I recently lost a hen but still have three left who are sweet too. I never had like baby chicks. Mine were pullets or pretty big when they got here.

I breed chickens, so I have around 20 newborn a year. They're such gorgeous fluffballs the first days!

Well, I only have the chicks 'till they're a few months old, then sell them. I only have five-six adults, can't afford any more. My oldest hen is five years old and a complete darling. I just call her Mommy since she's nested (raised chickens) every year. XD

Ooh nice. Aw I sometimes wish mine could raise some babies. They seem ready for it. Where I am I cant keep roosters. Before my mom passed she had an idea of getting baby chicks for mine to raise as their own. Might still do that one day. Aw yours sounds like a good mama.
