Afraid I have not. I've only read The Fountainhead and a small sci-fi novel of hers, the name of which escapes me.

I love it, her work takes a little time to sink into my mind, I'm reading it again. I am feeling a lot more motivation and determination to produce work, and I'm thinking more about what my work means to me.
I've been kind of obsessed with exploring my sense of life. I'm interested in chatting with people who are into in her work, there is kind of a no nonsense attitude among them that I appreciate.
What motivates you to get back to work on your art?

Mostly the desire to entertain and to get better at what I do. I have a bit of a competitive drive, but mostly I want to be able to create a REALLY GOOD story. Making comics is like making a film entirely under your own steam. You have to edit, act, and shoot the whole thing yourself, even if you're not writing it alone. To me that's a beautiful thing, and creates one of the most immersive mediums there are. The next few months are going to be something of a trial by fire for me; I'm trying to take on an awful lot and I'm not sure how well I'll be able to handle it.
If we're talking practically, though, I usually need a driving beat, some kind of music to distract the little buzzflies in my brain while I concentrate on what I'm making.

I'm personally rather adrift at the moment, so I tend to be either cut off from the world around me or an observer of its minutiae. I feel alive through listening to music, through taking a moment to appreciate the beauty of the moment around me, and through the rare and wonderful moments that I become really engrossed in a project and focus entirely on getting it right.

Your new icon paints a mental image in my head of you sitting in the back of a cab on a late Generic Big City night, awkwardly and uncomfortably staring at the back of the Cockatiel driver of said cab. Nevermind how he got his tiny hat, or how he manages to turn the wheel by hopping back and forth upon the wheel with his tiny claws. Don't even bother thinking about the impossibility of him being unable to reach the pedals, and yet still somehow manages to speed up and break to bank turns.
Wonder instead exactly why the ID on the back of his seat, facing you, is of one Muhammad Siaid Jihhard. A tall man of middle eastern decent, of whom this Cockatiel clearly is not.
And wonder why you can't make eye contact, and why you simply stay silent as the car weaves through traffic.
