Hi, if you don't mind ? May I ask a couple of silly 'newbie' questions, in hope that with your experience here, you may be both able, and willing (!!!) to help me get myself 'on my feet' on how to DO things here in DA ?!

I have really taken to your artworks, I honestly find myself questioning if it is a photograph, or a digital image - and often ... I can't decide !!

I am really mostly interested in finding out more or less how things 'work' around here - and what a Llama is ?! Someone sent me a Llama, but I've no idea what it IS, nor what to DO with it - can you possibly help me there please ?!

I need to say up front, I am no artist .... well, certainly not at the level of the material I have seen here so far, some of which should be in mainstream art galleries !! But, I have a facination in how these works of art are created, and I would, eventually, like to try my own ideas out - in a far higher form than I do at present !! Honestly, I will be asking the most basic of questions, such as about what programs you use to do this, that, etc., etc., so, if that doesn't bore you to death (!!), any help you are willing to give, or knowledge you'd care to pass on, I would be most appreciative.

I won't burden you with more now, but I hope that you might allow me to ask more of you at another time ?

I'm just posting my renders here at dA, been here for 9 years now and actually I have no idea whatsoever what the Llamas are for, and I have 205 of them

But to make the renders more "interesting" , I have bought a lot of additional content from the same site - a lot!

Hi, Firstly, Thanks so much for your kind help here !!

Secondly ... Wow !!  I think that I am ... significantly ... out of my league here !! I took a look, and downloaded the program(s) you provided me links to above, and, again, wow !! I'm now wondering just what the hell I've gotten myself in to here !!   

I am no artist ... certainly not of any 'repute' - I only really got the 'basics' down when I started up my business several years back now, a Digital Image Manipulation service - much like those we see here now, only this was waaay before all this was common. The business did well - for a while, then as with all things, peoples interests waned and they went elsewhere ... so I never really took my skill(s) to any higher level that those I had back then and, to be frank, they are nothing compared to the capabilities that even fairly simple, entry level softwares of today permit being done ...

When I came here, I wasn't really looking to improve things, skillwise, I actually came across this site by accident and I was genuinely blown away by the fantastic works of digital art that guys like you have created and put up for display here - and ... I can't get enough of it !!  

Problem is, of course ... that the old bug has begun to surface, hasn't it!! I'm wanting to try my hand at creating works of my own which, is probably NOT a good idea !!!!! 

I will definately have a play around with the programs you've led me to here and, who knows, in a few weeks, months - or more likely years (!!!) you just might see my tag on a range of images out there !!

My thanks again for your kindness here, I hope that should I ever have the need of it, that I may call upon you again for any other matters that come up here.

I have been trying to 'find my feet' here at DA since joining recently, but this place is SO big and amazing - I've gotten sidetracked far too often !!! I wonder, as you were kind enough to welcome me here, would you mind me asking a couple of questions of you, that will help me "fit in" better and feel more comfortable (once I know what I am doing)  here ?

Things that, I guess, those who have been here a while take for granted, but when you're new, everything is strange - like for example, what are Llamas ??? Somebody gave me one, and I haven't a clue about A)what it is for .... and B) what I am meant to DO with it ?! Can you answer things like that for me ?!

Since I first wrote to you however, apart from the above, I seem to be finding my way around here much better than I was doing - I guess that time spent here is the best way TO find stuff out, isn't it - but those Llama things ???  Sheesh  8^)

Lol. Those llamas are a mystery even to me today. I don't know why they're important or why people place pride in them. Its just a thing and feels more like Ash catching all the pokemon because he said he would.
