Hiya!
sorry about the late reply, i've been kinda buried under a giant steaming pile of homework lately and haven't been online in a while.
currently psyched up for final exams and graduation in a couple weeks, then off to fiji! wo0+! sun, sand and... probably monsoons. still, it beats staying at home.
How 'bout you?

Not buried under homework but buried under school. My hours are ridiulously long so that pretty takes up my whole day... no fun. Other then that, I've been ok. My bf broke up with me recently, and well thats still affecting me, but Im determined to find my own Jacob Black.
Is Fiji in Japan?

sorry, haven't checked msgs for a couple of days, as you've probably guessed.
over here the school year has just kicked off. i'm starting year 12 (senior year) and it's averaging 30 degrees celcius, dunno what that is in farenheit, but it's considered moderately warm in this part of the world. the weather keeps alternating between hot and dry one day and cool and overcast the next.
my brother's car is breaking down again, but luckily its still drivable. my car remains the most fuel-efficient (and the best looking XD) car in the family.
still getting straight A's in English, of which i do two separate classes, though i get confused sometimes as both classes are taught in the same classroom by the same teacher. i have been known to take the wrong set of books to class on a number of occasions.
i keep promising in my journal that i'll be more active and post some more stories and poems, but i haven't written anything of note in months. the only thing keeping my creative juices going is an RP i'm doing with a friend of mine about a prudish ninja and a lecherous pirate. naturally i play the pirate.
i landed the role of stage manager for this year's musical, Grease. if i'm still alive and sane by the end of it then it proves i really am a superhero.
that's about all the vaguely interesting things i can think of that have happened in my hemisphere lately. how's yours?

it sounds like you need a hefty dose of the ol' happy pills.
my advice: as far as school goes, there are two ways of going about the whole college scenario that are worth considering:
a): put every available ounce of effort into your schoolwork, sacrificing your social and personal life, as well as your sanity, for the sake of better grades. it will probably be worth it in the long run, if you can handle the pressure you're putting on yourself, or...
b): don't. do the best you can with the natural ability you possess and the effort you can muster, which in my case is not a great deal. the grades you receive will only be marginally less that option a, and your stress levels will be 99% lower.
as far as cars go, mine isn't really the prettiest, it's only a little silver mitsubishi, i just say it is 'cos its got 14" mag wheels (they were a present, okay?). it's best feature is that its extremely fuel efficient - less than 7 litres to the 100 kilometres, if those numbers mean anything to you.
boyfriends suck. i know this from personal experience as i am male and know for a fact that no guy is worth a thousandth what a girl is. don't bother with the male half of the species; in general they're not worth it.
it rained today for about 5 minutes. my history teacher was reading a passage from 'The Aeneid' when thunder rolled. we all thought that Zeus must have been happy with his reading.
that's about all. i'm thinking of having the words 'up yours' henna-tattooed on my forehead...

i think i'll stick with regular school pattern because my social life is gone considering i never see my friends anymore.

my sister says hi and she wants to know if your cute, but you dont have to answer that because shes married. and she's offering you cina-cakes. she wants to fedex you. that sounds sexual. oh dear

well, my girlfriend says i'm hot, but i've never considered 5'10" skinny white boys with moderately severe acne to be terribly attractive, so i don't know what she sees in me. i guess it must be my winning personality.
would it be impolite to ask what cina-cakes are before accepting any?

Lawllllllllll~
I guess so then.
Wow, I guess my boyfriend is taller then every guy I know. Sorry, it's something we were talking about before.
No it would not; cina-cakes are cinnamon pancakes. Sorry about her acting like that, she's very goofy.

arnorath In reply to SmolderingCentury [2009-03-16 12:54:35 +0000 UTC]
ah, well in that case i'd probably devour them as fast as they can be made, if not faster.
i'm noticing a strange trend in the height demographic at my school. i'm roughly 176 centimeters (5'10"), and i'm shorter than the majority of guys in my class. however, the current mean for adult males in australia is somewhere around the 168 centimeter mark (5'6-7"). my school seems to be filled with genetically modified ninja basketball players, at least in the male half. the girls are all less than 165 centimeters (5'5-6"), and my girlfriend is quite hilariously short, something of which i never fail to remind her.
and i don't mind goofy. it's what makes the world go round, the grass grow, and the purple elephants dance. XD

you seem to be a very observant person
i know her pain, my boyfriend constantly reminds me of my 'shortness' by calling me short shit, or small fry, or other things like that, but i continue to remind him that im not short, im fun sized.
purple elaphants...?
that reminds me of a time i had to take sleep meds and i saw pink elephants the size of hampsters flying around my house. o_.

yay for whacky side effects! i took pain meds once that temporarily robbed me of my colour vision. i was home from school for about a fortnight and all i had the energy to do was sit down and paint my warhammer models. do you have any idea how hard it is to paint miniatures with no colour vision?

arnorath In reply to SmolderingCentury [2009-03-21 07:51:18 +0000 UTC]
the first ones did, then i decided it would be safer just to prime them all instead. the result was about four million models, all rpimed and ready to be painted, that are currently staring accusingly at me from my modelling desk. i swear they're shouting 'aint me! bring me to life!'. or that could be the meds again...

maybe a little...
well, i'm clean and rehabilitated now. no more aching jaw after removal of teeth. although my wisdoms are set to come out soonish, so it might not be long before those models get painted....

poor poor models. i have deep sympathy for them.
im at my friends house right now and we are in a Miyasaki mood, but her VCR/DVD thing isn't working, so we are forced to watch Ratatoulli ( dont know how that its spelled).

if you're bored, go out and see Watchmen.
for that matter, if you're happy, see Watchmen. if you're sad,see Watchmen. if you're hungry, hot, cold, or just plain psychotic, go see Watchmen. do it. do it now.

the term is 'graphic novel'. and it's still classed as a book, what with it being printed on bound paper and all. go and buy it.
and then read some HP Lovecraft. 'cos that stuff is awesome too, though on a different level.

well, i enjoy it. alot of his work fits very well into the 'mindfrag' category, by which i mean it tends to take you on a psychological ride through all that is dark, scary and difficult to quantify. it's an acquired taste, i guess. give it a try. you can probably download most of his stuff somewhere.
