I don't think it'd be worth it for me to pay money just to change a username :9 Premium membership is nice and all but I know there more useful things to spend that money on.

and the new account is more than just the username. Over the years many of the watchers I've accumulated no longer use dA or watched me for an arbitrary reason (maybe to get a watch back or to get on my good side so they could ask for a request. and after getting what they want they never bother to talk to me again lol). While I appreciate every watcher I get, I would like to have watchers that aren't just empty accounts no longer in use or people with ulterior motives.

So the new account is my new start in hopes that I can rebuild myself with an audience that is fresh, and watching me based on the things that I post now as opposed to things I may have posted 6 years ago.

Sorry if that sounds like a silly reason lol. Changing accounts was admittedly a bit of an impulsive move but I felt like it was something I needed to do.

Yea, but at the same time, you've just added an account that's officially dead, no longer following people. You've, in turn, contributed to the number of accounts that are no longer active (And a lot of them are inactive because people wanted name changes)

I've had a bad habit of being a hypocrite lately.
