I'm already a cartographile (is that even a word?) topophile?Β ...map lover... so looking at your work is already mesmerizing.Β But what I find delightful is that you vary your styles.Β You don't just make one kind of map.Β Each has a different feel and character apart from being different geographies.Β And thus the presentation of each map hints at the underlying culture or character of the worlds you present.Β Bravo.Β Keep up the good work!Β

Cheers,

I must say, your work is simply incredible! I'm glad I discovered you!
Seeing as most of those on my watch list are primarily creature designers, it'll be nice to get some variety in my inbox with your excellent maps. Who knows, I might learn a thing or two about mapmaking from your works!

If you are interested in mapmaking yourself, I can't recommend the Cartographers Guild enough, it's a wonderful community with heaps of resources for learning the craft.Β

Thanks so much FeroceFV! Β I was quite surprised to here that this was moving forward myself, but I'm quite honored. Β Palladium was the first RPG I ever played and though I haven't adventured in that world for decades now, it still holds a warm place in my heart. Β It's really neat to see my map published in one of Palladium's products.
Cheers.

Hi Arsheesh, hope you had a good summer. Just wanted to give you a heads up that I mentioned Boreas again, this time in a futuristic commercial space-commander.deviantart.com⦠.
Also, as of late I've been having some trouble with writer's block space-commander.deviantart.com⦠. Based on feedback I feel that I should begin working on some sort of morality play (i.e. plot similar to an episode of Star Trek, Firefly, or Defiance), but I'm having trouble thinking of one. You're into philosophical ethics, so I was wondering if you might have any fresh ideas that you wouldn't mind sharing?

arsheesh In reply to space-commander [2013-08-04 03:23:57 +0000 UTC]
Hi Space Commander, why thank you, but being that I am located in the Southern Hemisphere, it has been Winter here. Β But thank you all the same. Β I look forward to reading your latest write up. Β I have enjoyed your previous work.
Unfortunately I'm not sure that I am able to be much help to you in overcoming your writers block. Β While there is some great material to draw from in classical Greek drama, my area of specialty is modern analytic philosophy, which is quite a bit more dry and less literary in its prose than earlier periods of philosophy. Β Of the three shows you mentioned, I am only familiar with two, Star Trek and Firefly. Β Of those two, I definitely favor Firefly, because I think it's dystopian view of the way in which humans will harness technology in the future (i.e. an elite will harness this technology to exert political and economic control over the masses) is far more realistic than Gene Roddenberry's idealistic view (i.e. of humans overcoming strife and being unified in scientific exploration via the progress of technology). Β
Anyway, I wish you all the best in overcoming your writers block. Β I know what that is like, as I am currently experiencing this with regard to my current chapter.
