if you go to someone's page, you can click +devWATCH on the upper right hand side of the page...that adds them to your list people you watch, and you can check whether you want to be updated to their deviations, journals, etc...and if you want them to be added to your friends list. dont be afraid to ask questions! you have no idea how many things new deviants can get wrong..i was a total mess when i started and i had no idea how deviant art worked the biggest mistake is when people try to reply to a message by posting a totally new comment instead of clicking "reply" under the comment their replying to, so the person never gets the message. you're already ahead of the game by having figured that one out if you have any more questions, feel free to ask
