Good evening, Aloysius. Thank you very much for visiting my page, and for sharing your interesting and beautiful watercolor art. I notice from your biography that your interest is in neurobiology. In my final year as a digital animation/graphic design student, I created a short, modest animation about brain cancer titled "Multiforme". This was dedicated to the memory of a dear friend who passed away two years prior. Perhaps you would be interested in seeing it? Here is a link : vimeo.com/23978798
Here's wishing you a joyful holiday season in whatever way you celebrate it, and wishing you a most productive and creative year ahead.
Best regards,
Ed

Good evening Edward,
Thank you for sharing your beautiful animation "Multiforme" with me. It is unfortunate to hear about your friend, my condolences. Cancer is a malicious disease but an efficient and effective therapy has yet to be uncovered. Although my field does not lie in "Cancer", I know that much research is on-going for cancer. Hopefully, in the near future, a noble targeted therapy against cancerous cells will be available to propel the fight against cancer in all forms. Also, thank you for sharing your creative works and your in-sights to art.
Best Regards,
Aloysius

Yes I looked them up, they're pretty cool! I used to have an aquarium a when I was a kid, and I remember those were a kind that I really wished for. But I only got goldfish and guppy ^^

goldfish and guppies are awesome too.
arowanas feed on them. hahahaha.
show quality goldfish and guppies are really pretty. and most interesting of all is to breed them!
and send them for competition.
imagine getting trophies for breeding. hmmm!

Haha, you morbid little one
Oh really? I never did (would never have the energy).. but it sounds great winning trophies for fish! lol
I remember one of the goldfish got tubercolosis once and it looked quite odd, interesting... the eyes looked as if they'd pop out any second and it's whole body was like a round ball, with the scales sticking out like spikes on a hedgehog. It was swimming like in slow-motion. Really interesting. Don't know why I write about this to you, guess it's just some random memory
But do you do that (breed)? You have your own fish?

how did you know ur goldfish had tuberculosis? you brought it to a vet?
cos the symptoms you stated are pop-eye caused by bacteria infection and dropsy- bloated and raised scales, due to kidney failure.
i had a few cases of dropsy on my fighting fish.. it is real sad, high fatality rate.
my uncle once had an arowana with pop-eye, it is treatable with antibiotics!
oh no i dont rear any fish now, i stopped 3 years back when i had to serve the army for 2 yrs. and now i live in my school's hostel. so i dont have anytime and space for them.

Oh. My dad told me that was the case. We had some kind of book about fish and their diseases and how to take care of them etc etc, I think that's where he got that from. But he's never been an expert exactly o_O
Yes it was really sad, I loved my fishies and cried the whole time. But it survived! I guess if it could survive for years in my aquarium (I wasn't too good at taking care of them unfortunately), it would survive quite a few diseases too I don't remember, maybe we gave it meds, it was so long ago..
Ok, I see. 2 years??? Compulsory? Here we barely have military service anymore, you practically have to beg to get a place, even if you're really good. Stupid, naive Sweden.

Merry Christmas!!
I guess. Some governments seem to take it really unseriously, and others take it waaaay too far. Why can't they all just be reasonable?

hope you enjoyed ya day!
but then again, what can be used to measure.
i think it really depends on whether the country needs national service.
if you notice, such systems are quite prominent for different countries.
for eg. a small neighbouring nation beside a big one, or a very threatened nation.
such as taiwan and south korea both have national service which are compulsory.
i just hope they will give increment in allowance to help those needy families whom cant afford their child to spend their time in national service instead of earning a living.

That's really true, I totally agree. But still, even if risks are low, it's still good to be somewhat prepared. You never know what will happen. It's unnecessary to prepare too much, but still, even if weve had peace in sweden for 200 years, that doesnt guarantee that will be the case forever. We have russia quite close and you never know what will happen..... it just feels like we should be at least a liiittle bit prepared.
and yeah I'd be scared to death too if i had north korea or china as my neighbour
