That's a good start... I would talk about what is in the pictures, where it is, your feeling, if there are/were people around did you talk to them? What did they say. A picture is worth a thousand words, but a picture with words is worth a lot more!

Yeah, it would require some thought, but if you're really inspired by photography and what you do, it won't be a chore to add some thought into your art.
For example, you said that it's a heartbreaking situation... so obviously that's something that compelled you to take the photographs. Now just expand upon that. Why was it so heartbreaking? What was your drive to record this event through the lense of your camera? What are you learning from the event and from taking the photographs?
If you want to take it a step further, and I would recommend doing so, start a photography journal. Take it with you when you shoot and record your thoughts on the spot as you take the photographs. When you start reviewing the images, take the journal out again and compare your notes from then to what your thoughts are when you are reviewing, editing, and sharing. You would be surprised at how much this process will help you grow as a photographer. Soon, you'll be thinking about your art more as you're taking the photograph and it will just become second nature.
Also, you'll notice that your insights will compel others to share their own thoughts and help you grow too. Currently you get about 0.71 comments per piece of art you upload. I imagine that would increase dramatically with a little help getting the discussion going.
You're a great artist and I'd love to see you grow even more, I hope you do too. I think it's something you love and will be easy for you once the ball is rolling. Keep up the great work!

I know, I looked through your gallery. The creative process, no matter what art form you manifest it in, is one that requires thought, planning, emotion, and feeling. I'm not trying to say you aren't putting those into your art, I just was encouraging you to share the fun you're having making the art.
