Not really, no. I kind of just draw whatever comes to mind. Sometimes once I've drawn someone, I end up building a story around them, but otherwise, no.

I work the opposite direction. I have to (basically) always, make the story before drawing the character. Idk, there's something about having a story already made that makes the desogn process so much more meaningful to me

I can see that! I certainly do it that way (sometimes), but for the most part I do it the other way around. That's probably why my work is so stagnant and lacks expression, haha. 
I envy artists that are able to draw such interesting and dynamic scenes with detailed expression.

I've been stupidly busy so I'm sorry for not replying until forever later asfdg

I don't think a lack of detailed story or background should be a problem. Every drawing has its own story already.. So all you need to do is to dig into that sentiment and keep feeling the art

It took me a while to get to a good baseline. I feel that's where I'm at right now. But it took a lot of mental and emotional growth.

Now if I could only work on making my skills better and stop being so lazy..
