Hello, I'm Atsed. I have been doing leather crafting since 2012. I also like to draw, sew, make pottery, and modify things that I own. Heey atsed, just a little question. How do you paint/dye leather? Is it just possible with normal paint bought in a hobby shop or must it be special? it must be resistant against water...

Usually,what I use to paint my projects is called Precious Metals, [link] You can buy this paint at Hobby Lobby or other craft stores.
You can also use acrylic paint, but make sure that you use a good finish with it and to make sure the paint is completely dry before adding the finish.
There are also special paints that you can buy from leather supply stores made to use for leather. Plus, there are colored dyes you can use. [link] and [link] for example sell colored dyes and paints.
