If my work inspires someone, why should i be troubled? I think it's great that artists get inspirations from other artists, i have been often inspired by others so im glad if i too inspire someone!

And as for the shifting technique, well you might been the first, but i figured it out myself too without looking into someones work (just a happy accident, like my work always is )

You've started the past 2 (and only) contest...

The last 2 contests were 3 months apart... It's been more than 6 months now...

So AVS didn't get any extra attention from other was-an-artist deviants for quite a while now..

And heck, we got a few new artists, and I think most of us would be happy if another contest was to start... I didn't get in any of the past contests, ya know (Well, I think I was here when spaceflight contest was initiated... but I was a part-n00b at that point).

Who knows... the next contest might get more people joining... we need to revive the AVS community which obviously is going quite slow...

(Hmm, I think I sunk into gibberish in the last few paragraphs... oh well)

If you agreed with me, then it's time to ask other artists... and eventually, if it starts, I'll notify the winamp forums...

I remember the days when you used to submit a new preset every day or so & I'd be quick with a comment. Back then, your art was full of life, but needed a lot of tweaking. Now, you are the one teaching me new tricks and ideas. I am lucky to have known you for so long & I hope your passion for art takes you far in life.
