I'm looking forward to it you know!" She gripped the strap of her purse, making sure that it remained steady on her shoulder.

A faint blush crept onto the green haired girl's face at what she heard. Even though Calvin called her a princess, it shouldn't have made her so flustered. He had been calling her that since they met, but him saying "you're a princess to me" was just the same as him saying that she was his princess. She remembered their conversation they had when they first met about the white haired boy finding his princess to live happily ever after with. This thought only made Melodie more flustered so she quickly dispelled it from her mind. She tried her hardest to look calm and collected, but the pink tinting her cheeks were hard to conceal. "T-thanks for thinking so highly of me, b-but there is no need."

She froze up, hand still clutching her purse, as Calvin stepped closer. The situation made the older female quite nervous although nothing really happened to make her feel so. It took her a second before being able to move her mouth again. "Be-because I'm not a princess Calvin. I'm just like everyone else," Melodie said, trying hard not to make her voice waver. "There's nothing super special about me." She tried keeping eye contact to display her determination, but it was too much for her in her current state of embarrassment. Instead, her eyes rolled down to the pavement beneath her feet.

Melodie inaudibly gasped at the sudden contact. The touch of Calvin's hand felt hot on Melodie's already warm cheek. She continued to stare at the ground for a few seconds to shake herself from her paralysis. She rolled her eyes back up to Calvin's Navy ones, her face still dawning a blush. "T-to be honest,yes..."

It felt as if Melodie's cheek was suddenly struck with a cold wind after Calvin retracted his hand. Where he touched tingled, almost as if calling for the return of his warmth. "...Forget it..." Melodie mumbled.

( ; n; Sorry for taking so long to reply. I was sick for like a week and a half and felt completely horrible. And then I had work and then I had to babysit on my day off. I hope you can forgive me. )

Melodie smirked uncharacteristically. "Oh? Is that a challenge I hear Calvin? I'm very persistent when it comes to challenges." She tucked a loose piece of hair behind her as she fiercely locked eyes with Calvin's, showing she would not be a light competitor.

Melodie smoothly slid out of her seat with Calvin's assistance. She smiled at his chivalrous actions and couldn't help but giggled. "No I must say thank you. You did pay after all. And just to let you know,you don't have to act so fancy with me. I'm not a princess, but a normal worker like everyone else. But thank you for being polite." She gave him a friendly peck on the cheek to show her gratitude.
