this might be random but do you know anywhere in town that i can get some boots for my costume? i cant find any good ones that are cheap enough for me to afford, they dont even have to be made up for a steampunk look i can do that myself

Well, worst case scenario you make long pants and just wear whatever it is you happen on with footwear. My best guesses are going to places like Goodwill(Bouquet Canyon) or Salvation Army(Sierra Highway, before CCC) for second hand stuff, definitely cheap... Otherwise Kmart, Walmart or TJMaxx sales. Don't be afraid to look in the girl's sections- they have variations on styles and since its a costume(and going to be modified or otherwise covered) I'm sure no one will care what the designated gender is for the style of shoe. If you haven't yet and have any interest in that route, remember how spats(or other shoe accessory- spurs, extra straps/buckles) sit over the shoe.
