Well, my uplink in fact has been very good since I moved to Taipei (in Taiwan, but some people easily relate the two). A faulty (shared) modem turned out to be the culprit.

dig through cgcookie.com, eat3d, 3dtotal, cgsociety, polycount, nextgenhardsurface, youtube channels... Dunno.

Personal advice: learn the basics, then explore, don't stick too much to tutorials. Do what you love to do.

nvm I done a little render of that shrine thing you worked on you can see it here [link] and it seems that I'm finally shaping up to put dat stuff together (fingers crossed) although you could say I'm just coloring recently ( jeez. since when does COLORING take so long I wonder.
