I don't get that much into pairings, but I think the story you've got is pretty funny. It's not everyday one reads a story with June Darby drunk. Or Raf being this universes version of a certain Wasp Predacon. Only human, and smarter.

You are very right about that. You have to have something other then fluffy stuff in a story, even if that's the focus, because it would both really boring and the fact that real life doesn't have happy stuff happen every five seconds. I'm speaking for experience there. Lots of it.

But then again, all most all stories need some sort of romance in it. I'm writing an Avatar (Cartoon, not movie) fanfic at the moment that has a lot of action in it, but I'm even planing to have a bit of romance in that.

I should mention that it's about a gun slinging Australian Werewolf that pops into the Avatar world. A very bad mouthed and violent Aussie Werewolf that will use your insides as tinsel on a Christmas tree I should add. And even he's gonna get together with someone.

Anyway, keep up the good work, I can't wait to see what that head of yours will think of next.
