I went through some old comments in my inbox and found a sweet one that you left me way back in may. I just wanted to say thank you and give you a llama!

Hey there... I understand that recently faved one or more of your works.
For your own sake, please block that user as soon as you can.
They're taking our work offsite and selling it out onto the public domain through an illegal file-distribution site called "Kozzi".
Don't let the faves cloud your judgement, they don't actually care about you or your art... rather they're just using your work for their own selfish gain, like a parasite.
I'm just trying to give others the heads up

Oh my... this is really that bad then.
And dA really needs to get their s*** together on this.

Sadly, it's a never ending problem. My main problem with them actually, is the fact that they don't let us see who's 'downloading' our art. Then it'd be easier to keep tabs on all the asshats that get off on this.

You know... thats an excellent point!
We can see who faves our work right? Short of saving the file to their hardrive, it's essentially giving them a seperate file to put into their favorites que, which is storage all the same.
should be considering this already.
I mean, damn... the site is his baby, and his idea.
He needs to be more proactive in protecting it.

Agreed. I understand how hard it is for DA to keep up with the current problems when there's still, all the hate art, child pornography, and self harm floating around. Hell I've stumbled upon it. Seeing a piece I thought was interesting through the thumbnail, clicking on it, and what do I see? Some guy masturbating on a piece of paper . This all comes down to the fact that maybe Deviant Art should rely more on US to start defending ourselves by giving us more info on who the hell is looking at our stuff.
It's the internet though. There's always a price.

Hmm... I have to agree, all of it is increasingly unsettling.
Case in point... kiss search "kiss"...... hmm hmm
True... we accept the double edged sword of the internet when whenever we contract ourselves to a service such as this, but shouldn't that just mean that those of us who are PAYING for our membership on here should have more leverage?
In youtube, I see comments remove themselves after being voted too low.
Perhaps a spammer should be removed automatically based on an algorithm calculating how many times they post the same comment IN EVEN A SINGLE DAY.
Of course, I could see how a manual flagging system could backfire and instead be used for abuse.
Theres no clear cut solution I guess.
Except that certainly dA could hire a few hundred more moderators lol
