Thanks again bitterrose. I use water-based clay.....and then fire the work to earthen-ware temperature. I've often wondered about paper-clay....but have not tried it yet. I understand it can allow for amazing detail?

yeah it does, that's why i asked if that was what you where using.
i loved playing with it, you can keep working it with a little water if it starts to dry a little. it's great stuff!
