No need to feel honoured, my friend
I just watch what art seems good

No problem. Good art needs people to see it

I do what my demons make me do x3
Next three pic I should get done hold in ghost from the past,
something already seen with something new and something maybe
suprising, inspired by group chat.

Inner demons sometimes have the best ideas when it comes to what to draw.
I noticed you put a lot of details into clothes, and they look good.
Like i said before, keep up the good work

Muffeli In reply to blademaster96 [2016-08-18 18:59:04 +0000 UTC]
Or then you get just totally random idea out of nowhere
and you just have to draw it.
Yes that's what I like to do and it's blessing and curse at
the same time x3

Heh, i know what you mean. I used to draw spaceships and sci-fi stuff in general, but i gave up drawing for 2 years and then i started again, only to draw medieval castles and scenery )
π: 0 β©: 1
Muffeli In reply to blademaster96 [2016-08-21 22:58:28 +0000 UTC]
Well I do like to do little details x3 as much I hate to color them x'D
Ooh, that shounds very interesting

Eh, it annoys me that i don't have enough skill to draw exactly how i imagine the scene

Muffeli In reply to blademaster96 [2016-08-22 18:41:22 +0000 UTC]
Than what do you do? You pick up then pen
and you practice!
That's what I've done about last six years, since I started
to take drawing more seriously.
π: 0 β©: 1
blademaster96 In reply to Muffeli [2016-08-26 10:46:42 +0000 UTC]
I don't take drawing seriously, to be honest. I draw only to lose some stress, or to take a break from other stuff.
But thanks for the advice
(although it might take a while until my drawing improves)
π: 0 β©: 1
Muffeli In reply to blademaster96 [2016-08-26 22:22:17 +0000 UTC]
And that's fine too ^^
I also like to draw because to lose stress and
just because I like to draw.
It surely will take time. But it's then great to see
the improvment!

I sure hope so, because wood and water are a pain in the ass and they still come out wrong

Muffeli In reply to blademaster96 [2016-09-01 19:52:00 +0000 UTC]
I'm sure it will get better!
The magic word is practice as there is no shotcuts in drawing.

Yep, that's true.
Can't wait to see some real improvement in my drawings
And thanks for the words of encouragement

One thing you can do is compare two pics side by side.
Like take one pic from begin of year and the other one from end of the year.
I've just noticed how my style changes as I've went though my files x3
You're welcome Β

blademaster96 In reply to Muffeli [2016-09-06 10:34:58 +0000 UTC]
Hmm, not a bad idea. Might do this at the end of this year.
Thanks for the idea

Muffeli In reply to blademaster96 [2016-09-06 19:44:05 +0000 UTC]
Well the file I use now has my pics since 2013 so yes,
you can see some progress. So yes comparing your old art
to your new art is good.
Also even I really don't like the pics I mede at 2010 I still keep
them safe so I can see where I started and to see where I'm now.

blademaster96 In reply to Muffeli [2016-09-07 21:35:53 +0000 UTC]
In that case it would be nice if i could fine some of my older drawings.
They should be somewhere in my room. Word of the day is "somewhere".
I just hope someone didn't throw them away by accident
π: 0 β©: 1
Muffeli In reply to blademaster96 [2016-09-08 19:35:33 +0000 UTC]
Then the other word of the day must be "file"
I have no idea where I would keep my pics if I
wouldn't have my files :'D
π: 0 β©: 1
blademaster96 In reply to Muffeli [2016-09-08 21:05:44 +0000 UTC]
Nah, I don't use them for stuff like this.
They should be bundled together in a drawer. I just need to figure out which one.
But to make sure this doesn't happen again, I bought a notebook, and I just scribble down my chicken scratchings there.
It's a lot more convenient than I thought.
π: 0 β©: 1
Muffeli In reply to blademaster96 [2016-09-11 01:11:31 +0000 UTC]
I don't know how I would store all of my pics if I wouldn't use
files :'D Now I can find any pic I want to find.
Well notebook is good too! Maybe you should also date it so
you can see when you started it?
π: 0 β©: 1
blademaster96 In reply to Muffeli [2016-09-11 19:21:51 +0000 UTC]
Lack of files might be a reason why i can't find a good part of my drawings anymore.
Still, dating stuff is not a bad idea
π: 0 β©: 1
Muffeli In reply to blademaster96 [2016-09-11 20:27:41 +0000 UTC]
Maybe you should get one then? They can't be that expensive.
It's good way to see where you have started to change something
and maybe see what made you change something.
π: 0 β©: 1
blademaster96 In reply to Muffeli [2016-09-12 18:56:58 +0000 UTC]
Naaah, files are very cheap. It's just that I'm not used to, well, using them.
Nevertheless, I never thought of it like that
π: 0 β©: 1
Muffeli In reply to blademaster96 [2016-09-12 19:18:00 +0000 UTC]
Well I can suggest to try it out! I think it's nice and easy way to keep
your drawings safe.
Well I remember when I went through my current file one time and
then this pic fav.me/d9cuj17 caugh my attention when I noticed
that I don't like the way I did that hair anymore, so I went and changed
my style. And now it looks like this fav.me/dagjq6s . And I'm so much
more happier with that kind of hair, for now :'D

blademaster96 In reply to Muffeli [2016-09-12 20:49:06 +0000 UTC]
To be honest, there's much improvement between the first and the second image. In the first, her body is...stiff, rigid, but in the second image the girl is much more "alive", so to speak. Her posturing is much more relaxed and even the style seems more confident, I think.
How much time did it pass between the two drawings ?
π: 0 β©: 1
Muffeli In reply to blademaster96 [2016-09-13 18:06:49 +0000 UTC]
Oh, I'm really glad that you think so
Now that I look them side by side I can really see what you mean.
I also can see change style change in my way of shading.
I'm not fully sure how much time there is between these pics but about
eight months would be about right.
π: 0 β©: 1
blademaster96 In reply to Muffeli [2016-09-17 21:56:00 +0000 UTC]
To be honest, there's been a lot of improvement in 8 months on your part.
I didn't notice the shading at first, however, but you're right, you did improve on that part too.
Took your advice too. I started to draw more, although the theme has changed.
I went from scenery to maps. Quite the change and I have no idea why I started it, but it will help a lot for my studies at University
π: 0 β©: 1
Muffeli In reply to blademaster96 [2016-09-18 18:58:33 +0000 UTC]
And that improvment I'm trying to keep on going!
I'm happy that my shading has improved but I surely would
like it to be even more better. But I'm hopeing to only get better in it!
Well no matter the theme as long as you draw! And well it always dosen't
need to make sense why you change things, since change can be good!
How is drawing maps going to help you with your studies? Do you study
something that has something to do with maps?
π: 0 β©: 1
blademaster96 In reply to Muffeli [2016-09-18 21:37:32 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, I study cartography. So far we've only studied different map-making and map-reading stuff.
But next year we are going to start making maps. Well, digital maps, but I still want to try some map drawing.
Thankfully I still have the list of map symbols and what not that my teacher gave us.
So far it's pretty interesting.
Might combine the two: drawing castles and drawing maps. Like, drawing a castle then drawing it's layout and map.
You know, I think we should move this discussion somewhere else. The reply list is getting "hella" long )

Muffeli In reply to blademaster96 [2016-09-19 19:49:28 +0000 UTC]
Oh, that sounds pretty interesting!
I bet I could never do maps, even I think that I can read
maps well enough. After all I was quiet good at orienteering
back at school. But it really does sound cool that you are able to
make maps!
Well that would be also pretty cool! To be able to draw castle and
map to it. Yeah, I guess you are right. Talking just gets out of hand sometimes ^^"
(you know that hella means oven in finnish xD)
where you want to continue, by notes? skype? smoke signal?

blademaster96 In reply to Muffeli [2016-09-19 20:03:34 +0000 UTC]
Well, now i know what hella means in finnish )
That makes one, no wait, two words i know in finnish (does perkele count ?)
Also i sent a note
