*Grin* I thought that might be the case. I'm writing a trilogy (1.1 down, 1.9, whoohoo!) to go and I laughed when I saw the quote because it made me think, "Ian and this guy would get along...or absolutely loathe each other!".

How wicked of me! *grin*

No, really, Ian only makes a sort of of guest appearance in the first novel, Silver, near the very end, and then in the first follow-up novel, Golden, he makes "uninvited guest" appearances (two, so far), and then, finally, in Bronze he is all over the place.

The trilogy isn't particularly dark because it's meant for a broad scope of YA readers, but anyone could be labeled the bad influence it's Ian; one of those silver-tongued trouble-makers who's bent on pushing all the red buttons. Obviously, the third book is much more intense than the first two. I don't know; words like "writhe" and "slither" come to mind. I hope I'm equal to it!

What's the backdrop of yours? <--Oh, look! I remembered my manners!

Ian certainly sounds interesting and like a character that would be a blast to read about! ^^

Well, Nicolae is kind of like a werewolf. He's not a trouble-maker, but trouble certainly seems to follow him. He's kind of a reluctant hero/one man army. He's not good at planning things, or following orders/rules, but even though trouble follows him, he has a talent of getting out of it.... Though not always unscathed. ^^

My stories, because there are quite a few of them, are all about people like Nicolae. Werewolves, vampires, witches, shapeshifters, etc. Mine are more for adults, but I try to keep a good sense of humor in the stories no matter how dark they get, kinda like Stephen King I suppose

Well, if you want, Silver is posted here on dA up to Chapter 15 (I post a new chapter every Thursday) so you could catch Ian's breeze-through when it's posted.

Meanwhile, when/if you post anything about Nicolae let me know so I can get to your stuff with him first, okay?

And now off to send more email novel submissions. I've been doing it all day and I am so sick of changing that letter around for each agent. Gah!
